I don't see a problem with the mask, he probably have a new one later on in the movie.

wouldn't hold your breath on that...with shredder starting as a decipticon yet still having the line "we upgraded your armor" there most likely wont be a second mask

what you see is what you get

to be fair - we saw plenty of Elias Koteas, and very little 'mask' during his run as Casey.

yes its true i wont deny that...but those thinking a casey of today will wear it more than a casey of the past..or have more scenes in a mask with a more well known actor are kidding themselves

Well duh, of course the mask look normal. It's a hockey mask, no need to show off or look fabulous. As long it serves it's function (I.e. protect his face and hide his identity) that's it.

And thank God for short hair. Long hair look awful on guys normally anyway imo. Leave that to the girls. Men should look sharp and smart and ready to go down on business.

If he has long hair it could easily get tangled or snatched by enemies. Ninjas keep em short, armies keep em short, many others keep em short; common sense really.

I love this new modern take on Casey.

Yes, but I actually quite like Josh Peck's portrayal. Only thing I DON'T like is when he constantly says his own name. That gets annoying, but otherwise, better than we'll get in this movie considering they probably told Amell to "play it like a more sarcastic Green Arrow."

I don't like Josh Peck's Casey all that much. Though that mostly can be contributed to the fact that I don't like the idea of a young Casey. That and he quotes Koteas' Casey y too often, and just doesn't sell it. Though to his credit, I'm sure it's not his fault and there are times I do enjoy him, but I'll never really like the idea of younger Casey. I can deal with younger April, but I'm not really a fan of her in general in any medium, and I never really supported April/Casey in any iteration, though the first movie had the most bearable version of that romance.

Really TRICK? not liking what you see, fine. but already criticizing a performance before any bit of footage?

and if I remember correctly, Elias' CASEY was pretty sarcastic; his back and forth with the Turtles, and April was chock full of it.

My problem is with the "green arrow." Considering they didn't bother to really at all change his appearance. Why would they put any more thought into his character outside "Casey Jones is a vigilante in a mask, Green Arrow is a vigilante in a mask, GOOD ENOUGH."

agree to disagree.

we have no idea kind of direction they gave him - and some feel that because Amell has been playing a vigilante on ARROW this whole time, he'll bring his experience in positive ways. And IDK if you watch Arrow, but Amell's Oliver Queen has more emotional range, than anything Koteas did as Casey.
