Not bad, not bad at all. I could even see sticking with a light brown/dark blondish color. If there is a 3rd, I hope they plan for that, like Casey simply grew it out.

Here's a new Interview with Stephen Amell, He talks a little about TMNT 2 in this.

He said when filming scenes, They have to do the same scenes 3 times.

It's really cool how this guy looks nothing like Casey Jones either (especially with short hair), great casting choice.

Of course they're gonna make different things and changes. April have long hair in these movies, never happened in this franchise imo, no one's complaining. Long hair for men are impractical anyway, so short hair suit Casey for brawling imo.

Leave your nostalgia glasses behind and get with the time. Embrace changes, nothing in this world stays the same.

Hey man, I've made like 4 posts in over a year and only 2 of them have been about this/these movies- I think the whole nostalgia glasses yadada schtick is a bit uncalled for here.

I'm up for change, I'm just not down with change for the sake of change.

I dunno, do we really need to start with the "nostalgia glasses" thing again... How about earplugs and just let people say their piece.

I'm sure anyone is able to have a complaint if the film makers hit the "wrong" thing for someone. (I mean, what if after this movie they decided they didn't really need to involve April. Embrace change, right?)

correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't there been precedence already set for Casey with short hair, AND Casey with long hair (depending on the iteration)?

They elected to go with the former. Some imply that's lazy, and others feel its sticking to source.

Personally, I prefer his hair short. Realistically, having long hair just gives your opponent something else to grab in a street fight, and if you've ever had that happen, you'll know it sucks.

Casey have always had some lenght to his hair, even when it's short, it was buzz cut short as far as I remeber the various versions.

That said, if there wasn't any time for Amell to grow his hair, or courant due to Arrow schedules. And the PD team don't have a good wig creator, it's completely undersatdable that this Casey is buzz short.

If there is a third film and Casey is still there, I'm kinda hoping he'll be letting it grow out in the meantime. Not so much in terms of "correcting" it, but could be interesting in the evolving look of a character and maybe a shift in demeanor to match.

Just you guys wait till they do a flashback of young Casey in 1990, all grease balled up and with a full head of hockey hair and sleevless denim jacket.... As Elias (who will obvs play his dad) passes down his heirloom Goalie mask.

I actually think he looks a bit silly with a wig. Don't get me wrong, I dig Arrow but when they do flashbacks it just doesn't look right on him in my opinion. It just looks like he's running around in a wig lol.

Since they're going with the full-coverage mask, it's probably just easier to keep his hair short.

agreed. there's a reason he always has a toque on when he's got the wig on. It never looked right.

agreed. his 'long hair' during the flashback sequences is laughable. whoever was responsible for sticking that on his head, either wasn't given enough time, enough money, or simply lacked the talent to make it look believable.

this is usually normal....not that big a surprise...more a surprise that it was only 3 times

no movie or tv show scene is ever done in one take for a number of reasons
