Like I said, I'm not complaining and I don't know how it is in other areas of the US, but I don't think our local news reporters could get away with that EVERY day...
It's not just you - the costuming we've seen for all of the human characters so far is very dull and unmemorable. I can't understand the reasoning behind it - it's not like they're trying to have some sort of realism with this series by insisting that Fox O'Neil is too young and poor to afford a decent wardrobe.

They managed to give Judith Hoag's April a variety of costumes (including bright colors) which gave a sense of her personality and put a bit of color into a dark movie, yet she still lived in a fairly cheap apartment (and it was an indie film with a much smaller budget).

Fox O'Neil looks like she's spent an hour on her hair and makeup but can't be bothered getting dressed properly for work. I could buy the jeans if she's meant to be running around a lot, but given that they have her in absurd heels all the time, that's not practical - I'm of the opinion that they just put her in heels to make her butt and chest stick out. If they're going for the new-kid-on-the-block, rough-and-ready street reporter look, scrape a few of the layers of makeup off, give the woman some flat, comfortable shoes and tie her hair back up from her face.

If she's meant to be serious reporter, then put her in heels, a knee-length dress (with a v-neck if you absolutely must have her ta-tas on show) and a high-waisted business jacket. Or business pants. Or pair a pencil skirt with a bright blouse. She'd still look young and hip - just choose an appropriate cut and a decent print or nice color. They have the money for a decent wardrobe designer, for chrissake. Hoag's the only one who looks like a professional out of the lot - Fox looks as if she's been slobbing around all day playing on her iPhone at the local Starbucks.

It looks like there's rain & a lot of high wind, So the Helicopter scenes won't be filming today.

And the filming with the Helicopter tonight has been canceled due to Thunderstorms.

Yeah I wondered that with the first movie.

Obviously I don't watch a lot of US News channels but for a TV reporter she seems remarkably under-dressed compared to the ones I've seen.

Casey's get-up is alright I suppose but I thought his clothes would be a li'l scuffed and dirty to give him the more down to earth look. It clashed with his mask which actually conveys that well.

It's like they just gave Fox a yellow jacket and Amell a beat up hockey mask and think that's enough to sell it.

Looks like the rain only delayed the filming, So they managed to film a Helicopter scene.

Judith Hoag! This might be the first thing they've done for this movie that I actually like... and even then, the only reason I like it is that it reminds me that the 1990 movie exists.

Seriously, though - I'd be happy if they just cast Hoag as April again in some other TMNT movie. She could act rings around Megan Fox in her sleep and she looks fantastic.

I kind of want to chime in on this...

I actually work in local news and it really isn't too uncommon for reporters to wear more casual clothes especially if they're a feature reporter like they portrayed April in the first film. I've seen people on live shots wearing jeans because it's appropriate for what they're covering. Just my two cents.

Yeah like unless you're in a building doing the night news, outdoor outfit is more convenient and practical.

I saw a big inflatable rat kinda like that a few months ago out front of a business or whatever the place and reason was... (Though I'm not sure if it had the same pizza rash disease that one appears to have.)

Although Dora was a costume, so that's even creepier. (But really wish we got to know what that was about. lol)

Don't make eye contact with it Raph, it may take it as a threat.

I really hope they film scenes of Raph showing up in public this time, And not cut it like they did in the 1st film.

Well there's tons of street performers wearing costumes in New York, but the majority of them (Spider-Man, Batman, Captain America, etc) couldn't be shown in this film so they obviously had to use a Nickelodeon related character (surprised it wasn't SpongeBob).

I doubt it has little to nothing to do with anything... probably just one humorous scene where Dora gets her stupid head knocked off in a chase scene or something... Don't freak out people, it's not a crossover film.
