If one of the Turtle's is poisoned in Deadly Venom...

So this Sunday's episode is Deadly Venom and the plot has Karai getting brainwashed by the Shredder and hunting down the Turtles.

In the leaked clip revealed on the official info thread Karai is shown poisoning Casey.

She poisons him by kissing him

In the clip she tells Casey the symptoms of her venom which is weakness, paralysis, and eventually death. She also states that Casey is the second victim and she will be going after the Turtles next.

So there is a likelihood that one of the Turtles would come out of this episode as a victim of Karai. The one thing we are sure of without a doubt is that it won't be Leo.

Leo has already had a near death experience and has had downtime because of it. But there are three Turtles who could still get kissed by a vicious snake woman, by the end of the episode.

Let's start with Donnie since he is an obvious choice. First off he is the one member of the team who effects them the most with his absence. Of the Turtles he is the member of the team who is most likely to be considered a doctor. Often in battle tactics it is a wise choice to take out the healers first, so that the heroes would be at a disadvantage.

Like Raph, Donnie is one of the Turtles who is reluctant about trusting Karai. But unlike Raph he has a more neutral view towards her. Part of his tolerance towards her is because she's Splinter's daughter, and because Leo loves her. But the dislike is because Karai has tried to harm April on at least two occasions and because she has proven she is not someone to be trusted.

In the past few episodes Donnie has taken more of a backseat role in episode which has given his brothers more of a chance to shine which is a good thing. But in previews both Donnie and April have hardly appeared and at times this occurs when something big is going to happen to a character and they don't want to spoil what is going to happen.

We know Donnie was beating himself up with guilt about what happened to Leo in the season 2 finally and as far a we know that hasn't been resolved...just pushed to the side or seemingly forgotten. And I can certainly see Donnie not wanting a repeat of what has happened to Leo before.

Also Karai is aware or more then likely Donnie has feelings for April. So targeting April in order to get Donnie to blindly attack her is one situation. But as Karai is also aware of Casey she probably knows April is affectionate towards one of the two boys. So maybe she would poison Donnie simply so his final moments could be tormented with knowing April liked Casey more. Or just to hurt April and Leo (and all the Turtles and Splinter) in general.

In that result Raph would certainly tell off Leo that this is what his blind crusade to save Karai had cost them, while Mikey would be trying to comfort April, but also having his own emotional problems due to what has happened.

But that's simply my hypothetical view. The hints I gave that could suggest Donnie is the one poisoned could just be a red herring, and the victims could turn out to be to Raph or Mikey as they would also have their impact on the team.

If it's Mikey I can see him being attacked because he's the innocent one, and the one who would point out to Leo at least that something is seriously wrong with Karai and the person she was isn't there anymore.
And I can see Raph lighting into Leo that his is what his crusade to help Kurai has cost them. Donnie would be frantically trying to save his baby brothers life and telling Leo he can no longer take a neutral stance due to Karai.

While with Raph,

again Donnie would be frantically trying to save Raph and telling off Leo about how he can't take a neutral view any more. Mikey on the other hand would worriedly ask Donnie if Raph would be alright.

What views or plausibilities do you have? Who do you think Karai is going to a poison? What do you think will happen as a result?

Murakami is a possibility, but seems very minor - however he has been absent a while (since season 2 no less) and Karai does know he is friendly with the turtles.

Kirby is the show's favourite beating post and is obviously a good way of getting at April, so its a possibility. However Karai isnt aware of him so far as we know.

Splinter seems unlikely given that he's presumably the top of the hit list, she'd likely go for him last - probably hoping to make him suffer psychologically by having him watch his sons slowly die first.

I absolutely agree with you regarding Leo. Although he seems an obvious target, he has already had a severe injury recently. His closeness to Karai makes it likely she will want him to suffer most, or be the most reluctant to hurt (possibly a weird mix of both depending how the brainwashing works precisely).

Donnie is a strong possibility - all for the reasons you posit. However, the only difficulty I can see in that scenario is how she gets to him. Donnie generally doesn't run around alone (certain exceptions not withstanding). He'd be easiest to catch either in his lab at the lair, or by separating him first. There may just simply be easier targets...

Which brings us to Raph - Already mind controlled recently, prone to storming off alone, distrusts Karai deeply. I think these reasons actually make him a very strong candidate, especially given he parallels Casey a lot in many regards. Just for the shock on Raph's face when Karai kisses him alone could make this a worthy possibility.

Mikey is - as ever- the wild card. I think of all the turtles he gets away with the most. He avoids serious injury almost every time, and tends to be very neutral in regards to how the plot attacks him. I think he has about a 50/50 chance of being the 'other' option. But its a similar problem to Donnie - he's rarely alone.

I'm not including Ice cream kitty on this list. Just... just no.

actually, karai does know about Kirby cause he brought april directly in2 a ambush while under the kraang mind control device

I doubt itll be raph or mikey as the 1st victim cause of the clip where both of them r in the shellraiser w/ casey unconconscious

Just saying, if I were Shredder and I wanted to make sure Karai was totally under my control, I'd make her kiss Baxter Fly.

Not even Karai could stoop to that if she were ever in a right state of mind, to convince Shredder she was completely mind controlled.

Can't say I'd really given it any thought, hard to decide who it might be. You present good reasons though. Do hope you're right that it would not be Leo. Well, Raph got bit by Fishface, who's a fish mutant. Karai is a snake mutant, so the venom/poison is probably very different.

The only clip we have of him in the preview is him heart brokenly saying her name before she attacks him. But as Leo is leader she'd want him to suffer before she kills him, so letting him watch each of his brothers die while he's helpless to do anything about it would be. And then after the Turtles, she would go after Splinter and torment him with the knowledge that his sons are dead.

In the clip Karai had did say she had already attacked someone, before Casey and then she was going after the Turtles next. Yes this does suggest the possibility that Karai has attacked April, however she implies that person has died already. So odds are it was someone who not important to the show, besides if it was April, much like Leo, Karai would target those she cares about in order to break her.

Murakami is a good candidate as we haven't seen him. And yes there is a trope where a character is shown after a long time and ends up dying when they are shown again. Murakami has also interfered with Karai's attempts with capturing April. And in the mind of the Shredder any one who is friends with the Turtles regardless of what involvement they have in the farce is an enemy. And killing him would be hitting the Turtles where it hurts.

She is aware of him, and she is aware the Turtles had been trying to rescue him as that secret message was meant for Donatello to decipher. In most incarnations April's father is dead...or not present. But usually they save the bad stuff with him for the season openings and season finally's so if Kirby bites the dust it would be during the finally, not this episode.

Agreed here...except Karai had stated she would be hunting down the Turtles one by one. So after Leo, Splinter would be her crowning target, and even then the Shredder wants to be the one who does in Splinter.

He's also oldest brother and leader. To quote Ichigo from Bleach. Older Brothers (Siblings) are born first so they can protect the siblings that come after.

As Leader, Leo has to be responsible for at least three lives in addition to his own and every act he does is what he feels would keep his siblings safe. He has also told Karai on two occasions that he would personally go after her to kill her if she goes after any of his brothers or his sensei. After learning Karai is Splinter's daughter, he has likely been torn on this promise.

In Karai's vendetta Donnie indicated he was willing to forgo a mission to rescue April and in Target: April O'Neil he ditches his brothers to go to her aid. As I have pointed out, If Karai had not suspected that one of the Turtles had feelings for Karai, she certainly is now. So yes, I can see Karai attacking April to bring out Donnie, but I can also see her poison Donnie just to get to Leo,April, and Splinter in one blow.

Also Donnie is considered by the Foot to be the weakest member of the turtles. Heck even his own brothers have said as much sometimes. And the Shredder does proscribe to the adage "The weak are meant to be crushed."

But just because he isn't the best fighter doesn't stop him from fighting tooth and nail to defend his loved ones.

I'm honestly guessing either Donnie, Leo, or Raph are getting poisoned in here should it happen, more towards on what the bite's side effects will be outside the poison itself. It all depends though.

I don't think Nick and the censors would allow to have Karai 'deadly kiss' Kirby or Murakami as she is 17 and they are about 40+ years old. If they do allow it then it would have to be done off screen and it be the same with April too if Karai uses the deadly kiss on her.

I think the 1st person she 'kissed' is probably just a nobody or a test subject.

Yeah good point.

I guess Casey won't have any bite marks on him because when I re watched the promo Mikey says he think's he's been poisoned and I assume when Raph asks him to suck the poison out, Mikey won't able to find any bite marks on him so he can't do it.

I think Mikey was grossed out because he got to suck the venom out of the bite mark not that he's got to kiss Casey to suck the venom out because they won't know.

Raph and Mikey weren't there when Karai uses her deadly kiss on Casey so they don't know how she poisoned him if they can't find any bite marks on him.

Though a first victim could very well be a random bum on the street for all we know, it might not be anyone significant.

I don't think Leo will get a pass just because he was injured before. I'd love to see Karai kiss him just to see the look on his face. His brain will probably be telling him, "Think unsexy thoughts. Think unsexy thoughts. Think unsexy thoughts."
