If I recall, The Turtles, Or at least Raphael, Was hanging with Humans who were all dressed in costumes and no one seemed to noticed, in the Raphael Meets His Match episode from the original series.

I don't remember if the 2003 series had the Turtles in a costume party of some kind.

There's already been way more obscure references in this one (Mirage license plate, Renet as a fake name April uses...) Don't be so quick to assume everyone is clueless, they may surprise ya!

In this case, I'm fairly sure it's a safe assumption. Piling in familiar names for fanservice and nostalgia-wank doesn't really endear them to me. They're throwing in everything but the kitchen sink (and hell, even that might make an appearance) just to try to get asses in seats so they can justify a third go-round. It's no different than the plethora of mutant cameos that we had in the third Xmen movie. It's a cynical marketing ploy, nothing more.

A subtle head-nod to previous incarnations would be better than this throw-everything-at-the-wall-and-see-what-sticks approach. This movie is the cinematic equivalent of a 5 year old sticking every Ninja Turtles sticker they own to their face, tshirt, arms and hands and running around hopped up on sugar yelling "Booyakabunga!".

Prob not much, but I doubt a little thing like that is top secret, esp given that Fox's tag is already known. Prob wise of him not to say much though if it risks accidentally saying too much.

If the director is a decent guy, just sorta new, I feel for him being handed that pile of script he may have to work with. And possibly too much other the thumb of certain other people to have much of a chance to improve any stupid stuff he finds in it. But I hope he can.

it appears as if they were filming interior shots, inaccessible to general public. that didnt stop @rod2282 (via Instagram) from grabbing a few shots - from what I can gather - this is still the same location as the POLICE STATION, only this time, the Turtles are roaming about, and so are members of the Foot.
