Christmas at Grand Central ... friggin Megan Fox jamming everything up
Given how they shot a Halloween Parade scene, It looks like the sequel takes place around Halloween/Christmas time.

You guys have got to be kidding.

I don't care how freaking "lifelike" Michelangelo looks. A walking, talking, giant mutant turtle is SO IMPLAUSIBLE, that one would have to be pretty darn stupid to believe that after a; very brief, in the dark, surrounded by crowds of people in costumes, interaction with said creature-like-thing to believe that what they just saw was actually real and not just perhaps a professionally done costuming job with high quality makeup and prosthetic. This is about on the same level as people believing in ghosts because of a very strong "feeling" and some seemingly "inexplicable" sounds.

Once again, I don't care how "lifelike" something looks, to believe something SO IMPLAUSIBLE is real based off of a very brief interaction, in the dark, surrounded by crowds of people in costumes, without any more evidence is the MUCH more ridiculous conclusion.

A nearly indistinguishable-from-reality costuming job is 1000000x more likely and believable than a REAL GIANT MUTANT TURTLE IN A PARADE.

Their Manhattan is one with ninjas & soldiers running through the subways, one where decked out turtle vans can go down the street without anyone batting an eyelash, etc. If these things can exist & be acceptable/normal in their world, why not a mutant walking up the street? Clearly these people are used to seeing crazy sh*t.

within this the world of film, the turtles exist, no ifs ands or buts, they are real creatures...so the people of that world wouldnt second guess a mutant turtle if thats what it calls for

showing pics of characters and creatures within ohter movies doesn't prove your point as they too are artificial creations, yet are real in their respective movies

Granted, it's not like TMNT is the only thing that shoots in that city, it could be for anything.

And I don't care how good animatronics have gotten, even the Japanese with their creepy human-looking robots haven't hit on true realism yet. Fake still maintains that cold, stuff, lifelessness to it... A fakeness the Turtles lack.

The first time April met them, did she even for a moment assume they were guys in costumes? Not at all.

Yet this is what everybody saying "It's ridiculous to believe that everybody would believe Michelangelo isn't real." are trying to do. Except that their logic is flawed.

The turtles exist, but not to the public, not to the people at the parade. They don't know the turtles exist, to them they do not.

She probably should have. It's much more believable than mutant turtles.

Although... in comparison these Turtles might make it tolerable. (As long as someone has to put on a bunny outfit. Or at least ears. I'm sorry Leo, you might have to take one for the team given your rabbit friend in other versions.)

I'm not really all surprised by this, There been summer movies that took place during Christmas. All were summer movies, It just used the Holidays as the backdrop.

Oh yeah. These guys are just billionaire martial artists REALLY into good cosplay.

There must be like a chip in the brain of some folks that makes it painful to call a bad idea a bad idea.

The only thing I'm figuring with jumping through months like that is maybe the time span it might require to concoct the mutagen for B&R and experiment on them.

And perhaps an excuse for more snow scenes.

I'm not saying this scene isn't a stupid idea, but it's definitely not as ridiculously unbelievable as most are making it seem.

I don't think anybody at the parade gets this up close and personal with Michelangelo, especially not for this amount of time.
