Those are pretty niche releases. And they were bare bones at that. It wouldn't take much to do the same for TMNT.

The 2003 series is been disowned by Nickelodeon. There is basically nothing about that show: No new releases of the toy line of that time, no proper DVD or Blu-Ray of the show. All that you find in the stores is the original cartoon turtles, which is not bad because that was the series that introduce me to the Turtles years ago, but I love the 2k3 series, too.

Nickelodeon released the SpongeBob show on Blu-Ray (a disgusting cartoon full of crap)

Well, it's not "disowned". They'd completely bury and ignore it if that was the case. It's not being treated as well as it could/should be by any stretch, but they are releasing it in a few formats. I'd buy the hell out of a full-series boxed set and some 2003 merchandise, and I really hope they tap further into that market, but I can also understand why they're chasing '87 cartoon nostalgia so hard from a business perspective. I think they'd be smart to widen their focus a bit, but I get it.

But who knows? A year ago, the 2003 series was completely ignored. Since then they've released the first two seasons on iTunes, put out these (admittedly weak) DVDs, and they're re-releasing a few 2003-era figures in that Leonardo multi-pack announced at SDCC. Hopefully there's more, and better, to come. Not exactly counting on a miracle, but they've got some sales from me if they pull through.

I just wish we saw more merchandise of this series. I'm really sick and tired of FW-inspired merchandise. It should not be the poster child of this property, no matter what it's done for the series.

I think they'll do 52 episode sets, so Seasons 1+2 together, then Seasons 3+4, then Seasons 5-7.

We can only hope. I'll preorder those f***ers the day they announce them, but I ain't paying s*** for s***. Full season sets is all I'm shelling out for.

I haven't seen these new 2003 sets in stores and I checked when I saw the release date on Amazon, nothing. I would rather have box sets though, like others on here would. The tri-split Nick seasons are one thing, but releasing episodes in random order is just dumb, especially when most of that show had continuing story arcs.

Just a year ago they had done NOTHING with the 2k3 series. Now all of a sudden the first 3 seasons are airing on TV, they're put up online to download, and there are cheap DVDs for parents.

Yes this is all baby steps, but they're actually doing things with it now. I can't

Honestly, at this point, I don't think they'll do full season sets of 4Kids TMNT until after the Nick show is over. Why would Nick want to compete with their own product? But once they have no new episodes, THEN they'll capitalize on pre-existing TMNT so that they can continue to make new revenue without "new" product.

4kids did release all the episodes of the 2k3 series on DVD, the problem is once they got to Season 3 they released them all out of order on the DVDs.
