Half-Shell Heroes 2D special to air on Nick in November

*shrug* I figured people wanted it simply because it's already been done before in the other two series and it's cute to see at least once as a flashback. Never crossed my mind that people want it for any weird reasons, and there doesn't really seem to be any evidence for that.

You watch other action cartoons, and since you enjoy the characters in TT Go, why not their original incarnations? The show was critically acclaimed too.

Man I hope this is not like Teen Titans go. I saw like 20 episodes and that show has some really sh*tty humor that seejs like it's made for 5 year olds ( which it is meant for) . I'd like this to be kinda like the new show. Have some stuff there that's for the kids but also have some stuff there that the adults can appreciate too ( but I doubt that this will happen unless the same crew from the new show works on this.

Anyone remember some of the proposals for S7 of the 2k3 show? They included the toddler turtles and we luckily dodged that bullet. If you're so against this show you can at least see it as a way that we dodged ever having that problem here since we already have this "spin-off" movie that dealt with it. I'm personally excited to see the nick character designs in 2d anima, I personally think those models look better in 2D.

As far as Teen Titans Go, it is actually very well received, most of the criticisms it got were early on because it didn't look like the original Teen Titans but people have warmed up to it and even call it one of the best superhero shows out there right now. It's a comedy show but its full of geeky references that you can enjoy. This show doesn't ruin anything in the original show, that was a great show but you need to see this animated show as you saw the chibi segments in the original show, just some fun that shouldn't be taken too seriously. In fact that was a large appeal of Teen Titans, that it knew how to have stupid irrelevant fun and serious action. Sure this show lacks the action but it is still very well written with the irrelevant fun and it gave us more time with those characters we grew to love, I mean we were never going to get a new season made in the old style, it was this or nothing.

For real? That's the first I'm hearing of this. Usually it's Daredevil and The Flash that I see people are calling the best superhero shows currently out there.

I stopped watching after around 15-20 episodes and I don't see how it's well written at all. Even if I never watched the old show I wouldn't like it because of it's constant juvenile humor.

Teen Titans aired back in 2003-2006, which is over a decade ago. What the showrunner is thinking now is likely not what he was thinking over a decade ago. I know what you're getting at, and Starfire and Raven were very well written female characters. Starfire was also much better than her comic counterpart obviously where there she's only used as a sex object and has a ridiculous outfit.

The same as their toys, I imagine? They made Half-Shell hero figures for most of the main cast and villains.

I think we all saw a Half-Shell Heroes animated tie-in coming. I'm delighted to see it's 2D but it begs the question why they would do that when allegedly CGI is so hip with the kids? When I'm not complaining.

I hope this turns out entertaining rather than obnoxious. I'm gonna give it the benefit of the doubt.

The timing makes this an obvious plug for the toys before Black Friday.

Probably cheaper to produce if it's a one off thing. Or if they make more but they're entirely different themes and 3D then ends up being a waste of time and money making all new environments, etc. for each.


Edit: Hmm... although the commercials for the toy line open with 3D characters... they coulda just used those for the Turtles.

I'm okay with this; heck it might even be enjoyable. With them using the Cave Turtle buddy designs, I wouldn't be surprised if there's not more references to previous incarnations.
