I'm so hyped for Episode VII (I'll continue calling it that!) but I just can't get excited about Rouge One. Another SW film so close about some event I never cared to really find out how it happened, I'm really surprised they chose this as their first anthology film or "A Star Wars Story" spin-off films as they're now called. I'm afraid of getting bored of SWs, I mean Episode VII might be the last long awaited SW film since we'll be getting them yearly. Whatever you may think of the prequels the 3 year wait made them feel special. If they can keep the "main" series interesting and different enough from the prequels then I'll be happy. Still 2 years apart with each "main" series one seems like rushing them. I don't think the fatigue will be as bad as marvel movies though since we're only getting one film a year while we're getting multiple Marvel films a year and many more if we count the non-MCU Marvel movies and the SW films can be many more genres than say superhero films.

In the comics Luke eventually brought back the Jedi Order and trained a whole new generation of younger Jedi in the way of the force. I wonder if they did something similar in this new universe.
