So I still don't get the division of screentime here, I'm guessing:

- Rey and Finn are co-stars, but I suspect Rey will get slightly more screentime than Finn since she's probably the offspring of Luke or Han/Leia

- Han Solo gets the most screentime of the original cast

- Luke and Leia will probably be in minor roles, or at least Leia will

- The third new guy (forgot his name) will likely be handled similar to Lando in the previous films.

It might just be me but I think it's pretty ridiculous that the first dialogue we hear from these characters is from toys

Didn't the same happen when Episode 1 came out? Usually toys are previewed early especially the ones with voices and spoils a lot of things. I think I remember the Battle Droids from Episode 1 being revealed for the first time via the toys before we saw them in any trailers.

Rey's actress looks like a young Natalie Portman. She was clearly casted because of how similar she resembles a young Natalie Portman from the prequel trilogy. She's without a doubt the offspring of Luke or Leia/Han.

She is the new heroine. Star Wars will have a girl as the new lead.

I think I'm going to start avoiding this thread as well since I'm afraid of spoilers and that photo of the helmet for example is not something I wanted to see but was potentially spoilerific.

Anywho that remote BB8 toy looks wicked, I didn't care about any toy until I saw this figure on a youtube video.

I'm just super excited in general. It really feels like they're trying to make this feel as much like the original trilogy as possible, and that proves they're doing this much better than Lucas did.

The problem with the prequel trilogy wasn't the story, its just that the acting was wooden and the characters was underutilized with a few exceptions. They also should have had Episode 2 be in the middle of the Clone Wars like the cartoon rather than the beginning of it.

I try not to blame the acting entirely on the actors. If you've seen some behind the scenes videos, it shows just how bad of a director Lucas was.

The dialogue and acting (mainly both Anakins and Portman) were big problems but there were some big issues with the story too. The biggest being Anakin's transition to the dark side.

This. Robert Redford couldn't have pulled of Anakin's dialogue.

Humor sucks too. C3PO in the prequels was more unbearable than Jar Jar for me.
