Lets face it Anakin is annoying ad heck until he dons the cyborg srmor of Darth Vadar.

As for Lucas as a director, the most popular is Empire Strikes Back which Kershner directed instead of Lucas.I prefer he is a consultant on the set.

You already have a movie with Qui-Gon and Obi-Wan, The Phantom Menace. There just happens to be others around them.

People loved Anakin in the Clone Wars cartoon, which just goes to prove that under better writers/directors Anakin can be a great character before becoming Darth Vader.

Shame most casuals will never watch the cartoons because they think they're for kids or whatever.

The Genndy shorts are great, but that CGI series was unwatchable.

I never watched the Clone Wars series, I tried to once, but just couldn't get into it.

I think its due to Star Wars fatigue or something, I'm used to just seeing the movies when they come out, it's kind of hard for me to watch Star Wars every week.

I havent even watched the Star Wars Rebels series, I seen like 2 or 3 episodes, and that series is going to it's 2nd season.

That's what I've always thought as well. Star Wars isn't something you tune in to for 20 minutes on Cartoon Network; it's supposed to be, as TigerClaw said, an event. That's why I've never had much interest in the spinoff shows. And that's how I feel about the upcoming Star Wars spinoffs too. They take away the "saga" element of the films.

I know it's a silly way to think, but that's the way my gut has always felt.

I thought the Clone Wars cartoon was critically acclaimed? I've seen people raving about it and it getting mostly good reviews. Also many of the older Star Wars comics in the old expanded universe were well received, so its obviously not just the movies people like.

I have no time to read 10,000 Star Wars comics, but I have read summaries of the stories on wiki's just out of curiosity to see what happened in them. Some interesting stuff happened for sure.

Yeah, Star Wars isn't something you watch every week, in the movies, the stakes were always high, on the TV shows, all it is are moments leading up to the events of the movies.

That's what The Phantom Menace basically is and it's awesome. I would've loved more, sadly they can't do another one since Liam Neeson is pretty old and wouldn't be able to pull off a TPM prequel.

Finally someone agrees with me. Both R2D2 and C3PO are annoying and parodies of their former selves. Jar Jar wasn't anywhere near as bad.

Yes the CG series got a bad rap int he beginning because of the awful movie meant to get people excited but it slowly won people over and is considered superior to the Genndy shorts now.

Well this won't be the case anymore now that we're getting at least one movie per year. Long gone will be the days of marathoning every movie before the new one after Episode VII... I'm kind of sad about that.

Movies being an event doesn't mean that comics/shows etc can't be enjoyed.

Yes the EU/Legends comics/books has tons of amazing stories worth checking out, many much better than the films themselves. Of course there's bad stuff as well.

The scene with those two bumbling through the factory and the arena at the end of episode II makes me want to drink a whole bottle of Wild Turkey and start breaking stuff in my house.

Even when I saw it as an 11 year old in theaters, I was like "what the **** am I watching?".

Star Wars fatigue? There's been 6 movies over 35 years. I mean, I get not liking the Clone Wars series but to blame it on Star Wars fatigue doesn't make sense.

haha yeah SW fatigue is silly counting after EP III SWs has been fairly dead. We haven't gotten as many video games, and all we got was a new cartoon that you could've easily ignored and been off your radar. I actually feel that SWs is finally making a comeback and I'm excited. Granted I am worried about SW fatigue in the future since we'll be getting a new film a year but even then it might not be that bad. I got Marvel fatigue but for that we were getting 4+ films a year and also Superheroes are more limiting than what SW can achieve if done right.

It's also silly how some people can't understand others grew up with either the prequels or the clone wars, so yeah there are probably plenty of SW fans who have never seen the OT. That doesn't mean they aren't SW fans.

I'm not a fan, but I've seen the originals. It works the other way around, too.

Bullsh*t, by your own admission you spend 86 hours a day on the internet and watching cartoons! You absolutely have the time, you just choose to use it poorly.

He doesn't have time for that nonsense, he must re-watch the DCAU and TMNT every year. I believe CC has actually mentioned his "yearly re-watch" on those two series.

Jeez, I don't think there's enough hooch anywheres to get me to marathon the OT. I've tried... closest I ever got was separate marathon runs of, like, the first half, then the second half, about 4 years apart.

After a certain number of episodes I just start getting drunk and making fun of it and by then there's not even a point, it's just shenanigans.

Its not that hard to marathon shows, unlike comics which you have to go out and find, episodes of any popular show are readily available either online or on DVD.

In addition to TMNT and the DCAU, I also marathon the Pokemon anime, (which now has nearly 900 total episodes), DBZ, Simpsons up to Season 10, and some other various cartoons like the X-men cartoons, Gargoyles, Avatar, etc.
