By personality you mean the stereotypical "idiotic cartoon henchman" trope that Bebop and Rocksteady are known for, which is probably what will end up appearing in the film only more exaggerated, right?

The only versions that I can think of that have actual personality are IDW and Nick. These versions probably won't have anything like that.

Maybe they'll be like the show except more exaggerated or like the IDW or Nick or a combination of all 3. Or maybe they'll be something completly different. Who knows.

I didn't think Heath Ledger's Joker was going to be good. I didn't think it was a good choice to have Heath play Joker, I didn't care for the design ect. but it actually turned out to be good. In some ways it was better than Jack's version of the Joker, despite being nothing like the comic book version.

Being different doesn't mean it's going to suck. Speculation is the only thing we can do until it comes out.

Well, Jack's Joker wasn't exactly comic accurate either. It was mostly just Jack acting like... Jack.

Williams looks like a nice choice, and the basic design for his outfit isn't bad. Maybe a tad underwhelming, but certainly not bad. It's just the execution. Which makes it all rather sour.

Bane looked hella weird in Rises (and was hella weird and not very Bane imo), but the costume was still well made.

I can't wait until they are revealed. Question is, will or won't it be a moment requiring popcorn. They aren't characters I'm too emotionally invested in, so to be honest imo whatever happens, happens (unless it's far into wtf territory), but I will be curious to see what bigger fans of them think. Maybe it'll surprise us and be impressive, that would be nice. (Or...on the flip side the shrieks of horror will suggest we've descended to the 5th level of movie Hell.)

At least in their case nostrils are already normal.

You know, at least you can tell it's Bebop and Rocksteady. Bebop is a black guy with a purple Mohawk. I can at least tell that it's him. Unlike with the Transformers movies where I didn't know who was who except for Optimus Prime due to the poor design and how vastly different their cartoon counter parts are.

Or with Dragon Ball evolution where almost all of the characters are unrecognizable. At least with this TMNT movie, I know who's who, even if their versions might not be great.

Comparing Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy to any CBM by Platinum Dunes is like comparing M.C. Escher's works to a spastic chimpanzee fingerpainting with its own feces.

I'm not comparing the movies themselves I'm just using it as an example. The thing is that something being different doesn't mean it's always going to suck, as Heath Ledger's Joker was almost entirely different from the comic, and yet turned out great. Whether things are the same or are different, always watch with an open mind as you may be surprised. I wouldn't care if Bebop looked totally different, as long as he had a good character and had good relationships with the other characters.

You misunderstand. We don't want a repeat of the 1990 movie. We just simply want a better TMNT film that does the franchise justice. IMO, the PD movie kinda failed doing that.

I sure don't. As good as it was, it wasn't great. Leo and Don are pretty much just the other two Turtles... I don't think the division of character development between the four TMNT was at all fair. Mikey and Raph get all the development, Donnie has farmhouse scenes with Casey, and Leo was barely a leader... at least he watched over Raph in the tub.

And can we talk about Shredder? World's baddest ninja assassin just stealing TVs and corrupting the minds of young teenage boys? Just... just like so many parents thought TMNT was doing...
