That one Wal-Mart Star Wars ad with people telling kids about Star Wars in a totally "LOL" way and don't get me started on the man children pandering in the new BattleFront ad. Better buy the new red-arm C3PO and form memories with your kid! Star Wars...Ooooh the history and the MEMORIES all of these manufactured memories that you need to buy!

But yeah! Movie looks fun though.
Lol ads are always going to be cringe. I'm more concerned about the actual products.

The new movie looks amazing so far. I can't wait.

Its amazing how via this one movie Rey and Finn's actors will become famous for the next 50+ years. Its always interesting to see relatively unknown young actors cast in a huge movie, and then they become household names for all eternity.

I can see Rey becoming a feminist role model for young girls, her being the poster child for females as a lead.

I finally got my tickets, I had a hard time getting the right movie theater since surprisingly they sold out everywhere, I mean there are probably dozens and dozens of movie theaters where I live whiting driving distance and tickets sold out on most good ones but was able to secure some decent seats in a very nice theater, the midnight show is actually on Thursday so I'll be seing the movie Wednsday at midnight I'm so hyped, I really feel like a kid again, haven't had anything make me feel like this for a long long time. Sadly this will likely be the last time a new Star Wars movie makes me feel this way, I mean it's been ten years since the last SW film and for most of those ten years I thought there would never be another SW film. But now we'll be getting a new movie every year or so so the newness will never feel the same even if we get kick ass SW films in the future, this moment is special just as Episode I in 1999 and sadly it might never be able to be recreated again.

Why? It was the best thing to come out of the prequel timeline by far.

John Boyega (Finn) posted his own reaction from seeing the trailer for the first time on facebook. Its amazing how this one movie will make this guy famous for all eternity:

https://www.facebook.com/johnboyega/...2716692386243/

His reaction is fantastic. He seems to be just as much a fan as he is an actor in the thing. Its great to see such a passionate young actor love to be one of the co-stars of the film.

They're different beasts. I enjoy them both for different reasons.

Yeah, cause that's totally what I was talking about. Wasn't about people actually being able to say sh*t like "I love the marketing" with a straight face.

The Internet is a hellscape.

You are doing yourself a disservice. I prefer the Rebels series myself, but Clone Wars is pretty excellent.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to SW (in the worst anti-fan way), but those animated series are fantastic.

Somebody or some website will no doubt spoil something further down the line. Hopefully most people will either not see it or ignore it.

Anyone find it ironic Rey's actress' name in real life is "Daisy Ridley?" That's two Nintendo characters.

I don't think "irony" means what you think it means.

How's that ironic? A neat coincidence at best.

The Clone Wars movie wasn't a "real" SW film, it was 4 episodes stitched together and released in theater at the last moment. As far as the show it's pretty good and I'm still in S2, apparently it gets amazing later on.
