that's cool, I bet there will be an episode where they go back to Earth to find something, but try to avoid there past selves from seeing them, And we get to see a certain past event from a different angle like Back to the Future part 2.

I doubt it.

Also, I've been thinking. If they succeed in gathering the generator parts, the events of the entire arc might get erased.

What if the current turtles live in space for the rest of their lives and the past turtles live on Earth? Then, in the future, they become the Turtle Titans.

That'd be really cool to see, although I wouldn't be surprised if they just stay out in space. There's no real need to go back unless they want to stop Zog from sending out the signal in the first place, but I think they turtles are probably busy enough as it is. Perhaps they come back in time for the Triceraton invasion and help while staying out of sight.

I don't know, when the turtles take away the black hole generator from the Triceratons, the only thing that will really be affected is the finale. Anything that happened before that, including Zog sending out the signal, had nothing to do with what went on in the rest of space, so nothing would change there. Unless the turtles themselves went back to Earth, but I agree with you in that it seems unlikely, unless it's the Triceraton invasion.

It's nice to know a bit more about the time travel. Now all that's left is to see is how the show handles the space turtles when the arc ends. I'm really hoping it's done in such a way that what happens in space isn't forgotten by the turtles.

What if a piece of the generator happens to be on Earth, they would have to go back to earth to recover it, and carefully not to cross path with there past selves?

Yeah, I remember that one episode which Serling goes back in time, and he sees the Turtles as kids, and they thought he was some toy.

One thing I'm curious about is what will be the result after they prevented the triceraton invasion? I think what will happen, the Turtles, April, Casey and the Fugitoid will ceased to exist, cause the current timeline has been erased due to the changes, and the show will continue right where the Turtles from 6 months ago left off, only the invasion never took place.

meaning all the events that took place at the end of season 3, never happened, all the adventures the Turtles had in outer space never happened, Raph meeting Mona Lisa never happened, Its almost like a soft restart.

Anything that happens after the 6 months will be in a different direction

I like Peter's explanation and that's pretty cool. So it's basically just them preventing the events of the finale and changing the outcome. Feels a lot like that episode of Heroes I saw yesterday where there was a present Noah with Hiro and also a past Noah.

In regards to the time travel thing, you think this whole thing will turn out to be a "Bootstrap Paradox?" Where the past is created by the future or something like that? (There's a really good analogy of this on a recent episode of Doctor Who, but I'm writing this on my phone.)

I noticed on the concept art for the Fugitoid that his head is a Fission Generator, making him a walking atom bomb. And this is something that makes him nervous.

So perhaps when they get back to the conflict with the Triceratons over Earth, the polarity of the black whole is reversed so that it instead of sucking in the people of Earth it sucks in enemy star ships. In order to destroy the Heart of Darkness the ship has to allow itself to go into the into the void so that he could detonate it from within.

The Turtles, April, and Casey who are on the ship know they can't exist on Earth anymore because the time of their past selves has changed. So they decide to go out as a family

Or maybe it'll be something like Days of Future Past, in which Wolverine wakes up in a new timeline after changing the past.

The Turtles, April, and Casey all wake up in a new timeline and see that everything is alright, The Turtles also happy to see Splinter is alive.

The great thing about time travel is because it doesn't exist (currently), you can make up whatever rules you want to suit the story arc you're writing and it can be legit.

People lose their minds over what you can and can't do with time travel. Like anybody can even really know anyway! They apply current thinking logic, which to me, doesn't make sense, because the whole thing about time travel is it's apparently supposed to go against logic as we know it?

The writers can do what they want. Roll on tomorrows episode.

YUP! iTunes aired it early for some strange reason. Won't give away anything until the thread is up....and I grab a shower. When my phone alerted me it was up, I pretty much ran to my computer. (Had a long Halloween night; needed to catch up on sleep.)
