Yeah, that's true. I got no beef with TC, and I'd rather get back to actual Star Wars news and discussion instead.

I never understood why people make angry comments on movies they don't watch or a fan of. Seeing women claim stuff like sci-fi, superheroes, cartoons, etc. is stupid acting like male adults should be ashamed of liking it always rubs me the wrong way.
A lot of people seem to think adults cannot like things that hold appeal for children, when in reality its aimed at everyone. There are far more adults who like Star Wars, superheroes, etc. than kids nowadays, obviously because the entire 80's and 90's generation of kids are now adults themselves. |

So I don't get it, they watch American movies in Japan with subtitles? Why don't they dub over it with Japanese actors?
I thought most Japanese still don't understand english fluently? English in Japan is like Spanish is to the U.S., a lot of people can speak it but not everyone. |

You know how Godzilla movies look ridiculous dubbed? Dane logic asked here. People prefer to listen to the original language instead of mouths moving without dialog. This is without mentioning that you get a better sense of what people's emotions are. So yes in the international market live action fund have subtitles. Only when it's a very big film or a kids movie do they offer a dubbed live action movie. People in other countries are used to reading subtitles in movies.
The reverse happens with animated films. They're always dubbed unless they're a very big movie since kids for the most part don't like to read and its also easier to match lips in an animated film. How much does the international trailer give away? I'm debating not seeing it d since the final us trailer is good enough for me. But if course I want to watch it. I just don't want to be spoiled. The international Jurassic world trailer gave a lot away. |

Rey's accent being British took me out of it for a bit, for some reason I thought she would sound more like Leia.

Piques. Piques. I'm so angry I could crush a baby bird in my fist right now.
It's "piques". White People. EDIT: I got bored and actually watched that Fox News clip. Wow, that was pretty bad. I've only ever seen satirical parodies of Fox News like on Family Guy, so I had no idea that the whole "I'm talking over you, asking questions and then making fun of you instead of letting you answer them, that's how you know I'm right" gimmick was an actual thing they did. Wow. Pretty frustrating thing to sit through. My own fault for watching it, I guess. Last edited by Leo656; 11-07-2015 at 12:47 AM. |
