Ah but it is.

I mean the whole scene is framed that this is the turtles finally working together except what we had seen of them at that point they worked together just fine.

Also the big epic battle for the fate of the city ends with a children's game. I think even the biggest defenders of the movie should appreciate that comes off incredibly weak. The second bout ending with April kicking Shredder and the falling tower getting wedged between two buildings is even worse. The weird thing is that all the action set pieces seem to end on an anti-climax and the action was supposed to be one of the movie's redeeming qualities that even if we hated everything else that would be well done.

Anyhoo it's interesting that when people hype up the previous movies success it's usually with qualifiers such as it beating some low ball predictions or how much it made in comparison to it's small budget. It'll be interesting how the next movie will be viewed with higher expectations and (I presume) a bigger budget.

And riddled with acidic tumors on account of drinking 6 gallons of soda each day. When things finally go to hell and everyone here goes full-on cannibal caveman, it's the things that are killing him slowly that will enable him to survive.

I agree with all of the above except I didn't actually mind that April lands the blow that sends Shredder off the building. Unless I'm completely misremembering one of the turtles swing her towards Shredder and she delivers a kick. So it's not as if she did it all alone. I think it's fine to have the most important woman in the franchise involved in the final battle and not being a useless damsel in distress. I think most of the hate comes from the fact that fans are disappointed Megan Fox got this role and not really with the concept of April helping out.

Buck buck can go buck itself though.
