Turtles from TMNT2 - First Look! (toppers) - Page 8

They look better than the first round of toppers that came out with the first film...which I realize isn't saying much, the first round looked liked dilapidated blobs of green plastic; at the very least, these hold some measure, be it small, of resemblance to the characters they are supposed to be.

I wonder if the pants, were just laziness on the part of the figure makers, not wanting to detail the bottom halves, or an indication that maybe they are suiting up in full black, more along the lines of traditional ninja-esque garb.

Well, I was expecting them to look exactly the same as they did in the last film. I don't mind the pants so much. I am happy that they toned down the accessories.

The new look is due to the fact that Playmates must produce toys for the film and they can't sell the same models as for the first film. They changed the look to justify the production of new toys.
