The Disneystore.com. They cancelled one of my orders and said it was out of stock. Apparently they sold tons of them and didn't have any stock to give out. UGH!!!

Point being, things are a lot more complicated than the picture the mainstream media suggests. It pays to read once in a while, for starters. And I don't mean TMNT comics.

I'd love to see these citations, if you've got them handy.

I don't, they were from several different newspapers from around 2007-8. Right when the real estate market was falling apart. Lots and lots of places were picking apart how far back the whole trail of dominoes went, who really said/did what, etc. etc. If you asked me back then, there's a good chance I'd have them, as I used to hoard newspapers like some kind of crazy person. I read 2-3 newspapers every day for like 5-6 years back then, looking back I must have come off like someone's middle-aged Dad, always sitting around reading the paper.

I was also a lot more obsessive about following politics back then. I've never believed in any of it, but it's interesting theater. I just don't have the time/patience anymore so I fell out of it.

I've been getting more into politics lately. I guess this means I'm pretty much an adult now? I bet I'll lose interest in them again in some years down the future, though.

I will be the absolute first person to admit that I purposely do not go to right-leaning places in search of news. Which is why I was looking for credible recommendations from a somewhat reputable source.

I can, on the other hand, recommend Planet Money and that episode on the financial / housing crisis called: the big pile of money.

When traffic gets backed up because everyone's slowing down just to look at an accident. Oy. Quit rubbernecking, ya vultures.

So... weirdly there was another pair of women's underwear thrown under the boy's fitting room bench again, tag ripped off. DID NOT TOUCH. Hell no. Just saw some wadded up black fabric and grabbed a hanger to us to drag it out of there.

I worked the first shift today, before any customers were there yet, so it must have been left there last night (Wed.) and not seen by whoever was on until close.

Which is weird... because the incident last week was also Wed. I seriously hope that is entirely a coincidence...either that or someone is a weirdo and I will be keeping a quiet eye on it to see if it repeats.

I work with someone who is very anxious, and is always fretting that they have offended someone, or they are going to get into trouble with the boss for things they have said. Problem is, they are extremely self-righteous and intolerant, and so engage in this cycle of boorish argumentativeness followed by sniveling regret and anxiety. They are also totally incapable of internalizing these feelings and so contently ask me if I think they went too far, or should be worried etc.

It's driving me crazy.

When people talk loud and act like they're having a party when I'm trying to do work, especially delicate work. So annoying!

It could be worse, they could be self righteous and intolerant, and not care at all that they are offending people. Me, I don't care who I offend generally hah hah, but I do know it won't be due to being intolerant

Ordered a new battery for my phone on Nov. 29th. Seeing as how it's now Dec. 12th... Where the heck if my battery? >.> Was expected by the 8th at latest, then the tracking page via Amazon was like "well maybe by the 11th." Sent seller a note this evening...

If anyone finds my battery out there in the world somewhere, toss it over this way if you would, thanks.

Oh, man, you too? I ordered a pgone battery on Amazon, and although it arrived promptly, it was a piece of junk. Wouldn't hold a charge even the first day, and when I tried to compkain and send it back for a refund, I never heard back from the seller to get a return label nor did they refund it. Made a complaint with Amazon but nothing ever came of it.

That would be worse in some ways, but at least I wouldn't have to put up with their stress educing search for reassurance. I've got work to do, I don't have time to be Jiminy Cricket to a blow-hard Pinocchio.

Aw, that really sucks, I'm surprised it went nowhere with Amazon. Hope you didn't pay very much for it.

Heard from the seller I bought from, said they'd send another one right away and if the first does show up no need to return it. Maybe at least one of them will make it here...?

Yeah, what was supposed to be a "new" battery came with NO packaging just wrapped in bubble wrap in a shipping envelope. Not even anything with it like instructions or such. Pretty sure it was a "reclaimed/refurbished" or something and they were gypping people big time. Cost me 17$ and was worthless. Not even hold a charge at all, so Im stuck using my old one still. Amazon never even replied back after I told them the seller had not answered my request for a return label. Im afraid to try to order another, if this is what passes for service lately.

Is there any way you can say to either this person or someone in management that all this whining is interrupting your work? Or is that just going to cause more problems?
