Grinds...
Microwave tv dinners that want you to remove the brownie half way though cooking, but the darn thing is always difficult to get out in one piece. (I tried, gave up and left it in... prob will be hard as rock now. >.>) The fact that Family & Friends sales are no longer that. Used to be that actual family and friends of employees, and only them, were able to get the same discount as the employees at those sales. Now they just advertise it like any other damn sale to the general public and stay open extra late to drive us nuts. Customers. Customer's kids. I swear, nothing can put you off people, esp kids, quicker than working retail. And the lady that I had to take a frigging heavy-ish bread maker out of the box for because she wanted to see it... And apparently had a hard time understanding that the blade is a separate attachment and was currently not on, that's why it was in the cup... the cup...it's probably in the cup! See? Here... it's this, it was in the cup. And then asks me how the bread maker works... >.> What else can I say other than "I really have no idea." Lady, this isn't a car dealership or some other business that specializes in a particular product - this isn't Bread Maker Depot Store - and knows all about the product they specifically sell. It's a bread maker in a box that was shipped to the store to be put on the shelf so you can buy it if you want one... and this is the first time I've even touched one in the store, and I don't own one so... how it works? *throws hands up* Do I look like I even have time to make my own bread? I don't even have time to eat it; I had a frigging Fiber One bar and water at my "meal break" at 8pm... Quote:
Ew. If I have any success with the second attempt I'll update on that. I paid all of $3.96 and free shipping. Maybe they have your battery as well. Their reviews are really good so I'm surprised I've had an issue, but prob the postal service's fault, not theirs.Hope I get the second one they're supposedly shipping, kinda need my phone working before Virgin Mobile ever gets around to closing my old account and losing the retired phone plan I can't get back if that happened. |

I was working on the same project a few years ago; lots of late nights and overtime, when I got into a pretty heated argument with this person - I was essentially told take a couple of days leave to pull myself together. My boss was worried that I was going to have a break-down or something. That's why I've been reluctant to get into it these past few weeks, but maybe now that things have wound down.

People who try to get you talking when you just want to be left alone, only for them to act like you're being a bad person. I let my silence towards one certain Christian woman this morning speak for how unengaged I am to speak to total strangers and she labels me as someone with an "attitude."
I'm not a very social person, mostly due to my mild Asperger's. I'm someone who just keeps to my own business just so I can get through my day and people I come across generally have nothing interesting to say or needs my listening. Doesn't matter how nice you have to be to people, some people just want their space. If you're going to accuse me of an attitude, then that's you're problem, not mine, cause you won't make me feel bad in any way. |

Adults who have to have an uncalled-for attitude toward employees at a store. (Or many other kinds of businesses for that matter.) Basically in what is, in reality, an adult throwing a temper tantrum like a stupid child to get their way. And congrats, lady, you did it in front of your son; someday he will be a 30-year-old man who flips out because he can't tolerate not getting his way.
Would it have been so wrong to NICELY ASK if you could very possibly get the percentage off that the sale sign says? And then handle it like an ADULT if it was denied, because yeah, that sign is posted with and for OTHER items of that brand that it was beside, NOT from the rack you got that shirt from. (Although nice people might find they are treated nicely in return and if you had a valid reason - like that sign being vague to you - you might have gotten your wish without publicly trying to ruin your own reputation.) Keep it up and I hope one day someone slaps you for it. Going on acting like you think you're some kind of princess... well, guess what, princess, you're nothing special. And never in my life would I ever dare act that way toward anyone - because I don't want to be the kind of person that would mean I am. The kind of person you are. /end personal commentary on that. Dumb hag... |

I always feel so bad when I see people being obnoxious towards customer service workers who can't fight back. It's so unnecessary. And of course, if you call them out on their behavior, they cause a scene and it just makes things worse for the CSR, so they essentially continue to get away with being douchebags.

Indeed. It's horrible how insufferably rude and ill-mannered some customers can be. Obviously, they have no idea what it's like to be on the other side of the counter or wherever.

If people are so incredibly picky about EVERYTHING, why even bother going out to a restaurant and making the lives of everyone around you miserable? I especially feel sorry for the servers, who literally have nothing to do with the way the food is prepared, because they take 100% of the abuse and have 0% of the responsibility. Eh, that's a bit of a generalization. I've known plenty of retail/service industry workers who are 100 times worse than your average person in similar situations, simply because it allows them to take out the frustration they feel on the daily on someone else. Sh*tty people are sh*tty people, no matter what their line of work is. |

I've found it's usually the opposite, and that the ones who are generally most couteous are the ones who've actually BEEN there. YMMV, but I've seen too many priviledged yuppies in expensive SUV's or sedans who treat the workers like crap, while the people who know what those workers go through tend to be much nicer.

Don't tell me I hit a nerve from me being a jerk; I can be harsh, but only when I need to be.
Here's a new gear grinder: the horrible joke my "friends" are doing. Did I ever mention I hate Donald Trump before: wait, I haven't? Well, learn something new everyday. In all seriousness, they know how much I hate it, now they keep spamming my school email to anger me. I specifically said to stop that politely several times and yet they want me to relax? "Am I the one at fault or causing my own conflict?" Seriously need advice man, this is grating to put up with for two months now.

So they're sending you Trump pictures to your email?
They're probably doing whatever it is because they know it bothers you. Don't give them any feedback and they'll get bored and forget about it. Otherwise, I'm sure they are breaking some kind of school policy by spamming your inbox. Tell them you'll report them if it is still getting to you.

If it's drama and memes, I can't assist. Memes are going to live on whether we like it or not; granted some this year went too far like John Cena or Shia as notable instances, but we can't fix it. They die out pretty quickly though, so no harm no foul; it's when the punchline is predictable as hell as a low amount of comedy. If integrated well, the jokes involving memes are actually kind of funny but as they are repetitious, I can't stand them. As for drama, I very well can make a statement of the hypocrisy from you, but I'm not. Our world is going to suffer and the change isn't occurring anytime soon; no matter the preaching and determination we're merely small specks in an expansive universe. If it's drama here, then I honestly feel you need to take some time away from the drome if it's causing you to be angrier, especially if the posts get grating. I can't change drama, but the very least you can attempt to make light of the situation or pop a squat or whatever it is you do, and then rest before running off. Not everyone can be a Cubed and tribute to every thread on here. You can be a social hero as much as you want, but by the end of the day you just need to forget it if it's a bothersome to you. Not saying you should put aside those around you (I never recommend that) but rather drift it out. Other than that, just find ways to meditate I guess or continue to do what you proceed with. Now, how am I going to solve the ignorance of my friends after they won't listen? Edit: Proactive, thanks.
