Not sure if I missed it, but is there any information on the release date for these?

For the release date nothing official has been announced yet but I assume by the ny toy fair they will have a general release date.

The new guys have elbow and knee joints.

Here's a quick shot of the first movie set. These guys had fixed arms and legs with wrist swivels .

Can't say for the others, but the first Leo does have knee joints, though the range they bend is pretty limited.

Imagine the new ones may be similar, but these guys work better as display pieces anyhow, imo, so no biggie to me. As long as the joints are firm enough that it can support the weight of them.

That's the one !!!! I couldn't remember where I heard it. It's Prince John. I use my paraphrased version (thinking it was correct) a lot in classes when someone does something wrong !! haha! cheers for jogging my memory.

Getting time for photos as I have all of the new guys and the old guys in the same place.
Singular disappointment. I do not approve of the plastic used on the movie figures. I am a fan of the heavier materials used in the first sets of 11" Turtles. It adds gravity and quality to them.

I needed someone to compare him against so here is bad boy RS form the OT.

A rear ended rhino

Jointed elbow, and wrist swivel.

And knee joint. No ankle swivel.

Got to say that the more I work with this guy, the more I like it.

I'll jump into the time machine later and head back to the future to pick up some more movie stuff, I promise I won't watch and reveal the new movie details!!!

I really like this pig, he's just such a cool figures.

He could do (as usual) with more detail in the paint areas, and I will take care of that, or my mate will !!! That said, he still looks fine.

Thanks for the pictures DVD, Bebop and Rocksteady look great, the Turtles are nice too, but I think I do like the 2014 versions better.

I can't say which I prefer. They are different enough to hold their own in the display area and have their own unique presence.
I am very tempted to have BB n RS touched up to add more color to the superb detailing that is present on their sculpts. The skin textures are great, and I love the expressions. Yeah, BB n RS are front and centre for me.
