This could be because of the Super Bowl. I can certainly understand Nick not wanting the episode to be over shadowed because of a major football game happening the same day.

Then the possibly a hiatus for Spring Break...

And somewhere towards the end of May the summer break so that the 2016 movie can air and get all the attention it needs. And of course Nick having a panel at at San Diego Co in July so they can hype up the rest of season 4 and give us some hints about season 5.

And then October Comic Con to promote season 5 itself and let us know if we have another season or if five will be the final season of this series.

Yeah think it's because of the Superbowl and that the 2nd trailer and Superbowl tv spot coming out for TMNT 2.

I reckon we get new episodes back in late Feburary which will have the mid season final.

Then I guess we have a small break again then a few more new episodes before the 2 and a half month hiatus for TMNT 2 which I guess will be between May and July.

A lot of the breaks occur for holidays and events though. Yes we also have had hiatus when there was nothing going on... But the winter break (Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, Christmas, New Years)

Spring Break (Passover, Easter holiday)

Summer Break-(Forth of July...Summer reruns, convention season)

Heck they skipped a month in 2014 because they wanted the film to have it's due time rather then have the film out and the season 3 premier be overshadowed by it or vice vs.

It was 2 1/2 months in 2014 for the film. That's why I said there no doubt there be another 2 1/2 months break again for the film this year and expect new episodes back, mid to late July.

The Movie comes out June 3rd... so we are likely to go into Summer break in mid to late May. Then there is San Diego Comic Con from July 21st-24th. It think it would be more likely that will see new episodes mid to late August and a short break at the end of September for New York Comic Con October 6th-9th.

Since this is a 26 episode season. Assuming the episodes return on Valentines day Sunday the 14th.

If they make episodes 12 and 13 a two part episode then the Mid-season finale would be aired on the 6th of March.

Though it's more likely they will start returning from hiatus on the 21st.

So if Cosmic Ocean is aired that time.

Episode 12 and 13 would be aired March 13th. Then have the mid-season Spring finale break since Easter Sunday would be on March 27th year.

Yeah it comes out of June 3rd but they still need a month to promote the movie. In 2014 the break was between June 29th, the move come out on August 8th, that's just over a month. The hiatus ended on September 12th So that was just over 2 months.

So I reckon it be the same sort of thing this year.

They can still have new episodes before and during SD Comic Con. They did in 2013, they had a break between May and July that year.

Ok I'm confused.

The Futon critic has updated there site today and has The Cosmic Ocean to air this Sunday but Zap2It removed the date on Saturday. So I don't know if this episode is going to aired this week or not.

I wonder if any Americans can check there tv guides to check or we could just wait for Nick to see if they are going to add new gifs and previews.
