How the 1987 TMNT could have ended

This is a possible ending I think could happened. In fact, I would personally like this ending better.

Don't get me wrong, Lord Dregg is an amazing villain but personally I think Shredder and especially Krang were the best villains. Krang is my all time favorite villain, and I like him even more than Shredder. He always came up with the plans, bossed everyone around, conquered way more territory than any other villain, was physically powerful and one of, if not, the most intelligent villain the turtles ever faced. Here's how I would like it to end.

On the episode, The Day the Earth Disappeared" I would have liked it better if Lord Dregg died that way instead. With the portal through Dimension X, Both Shredder and Krang spot it and use it as a way to get back to Earth which they eventually do. I would also have Carter stay until the very last episode as I would want to see him fight Shredder and Krang.

Shredder and Krang return to Earth with the Technodrome and bring about a full scale invasion of Foot Soldiers and Rock Soldiers which dominate the Earth for a time. Krang even repairs his old android body and uses that. When the Turtles realize they are outmatched against such a force, they go around recruiting numerous heroes to help out.

I believe this episode could work as a 4 parter. The TMNT and Carter as well as Splinter, recruit the help of Casey Jones, Usagi, Mondo Gecko, The Punk Frogs, Mona Lisa, The Neutrinos, and so forth and even Irma, Vernon and Burne show up again. The tmnt and gang try to fight the massive invasion and even take on Shredder and Krang a couple times, and both Shredder and Krang retreat before they are defeated.

The last episode involves getting past all the soldiers, infiltrating the Technodrome, fighting General Tragg, Bebop and Rocksteady. There's also a final feud between Shredder and Splinter, which results in Shredder's death due to his obsession with revenge. Then the Technodrome is finally destroyed and they think Krang was destroyed.

But Krang survives and grows giant again to the size of Godzilla and it takes all of the heroes and heroines before Krang is finally destroyed.

It ends with all of the heroes and heroines going their separate ways. Carter eventually meets Lando and Merrick and that because the major evil forces were eliminated, the future is a brighter one and they take Carter along into the future so his mutation can finally be cured. They all miss Carter and Splinter acknowledges the tmnt as equals. The TMNT then celebrate the only way how. With pizza where Mikey puts popcorn on it.

I prefer move to appropriate section. Sharing original ideas, in a positive tone, is a much more enjoybable part of fandom than all bashings of various versions this website has experienced in recent years.

So what does everyone think of the ending though? I think it would have been a perfect time to show Krang and Shredder once again, and we would know what happened to them. In the show they are just simply sent to Dimension X but we never know what happened. Here it would tie up some loose ends, we would see returning characters like Usagi. Maybe Lotus could show up again. Then we could see Landor and Merrick and they would say that with Lord Dregg, as well as Shredder and Krang being gone, the future was brighter and Carter leaves on the last episode to finally cure his mutation.

We could do what Turtles Forever did and have Krang's body fail right away and have several allies including Irma show up to stop Dregg once and for all, seeing as how they never really did anything upon learning Dregg's true intentions.

Kran and Shredder were never shown sent to Dimension X, just running out at some US government building on Earth.

I would've preferred that the creators had used the three part story featuring Shredder and Krang to end the series. It's not a huge deal though, it's not like I lose any sleep over it.

What do you mean? On their last appearance they were both clearly sent back to Dimension X, along with Dregg.

Your ending sounds good, but I'm content with the original ending. At least the cartoon had an ending unlike some other shows. I thought Shredder and Krang got a good send off in mid season 10 when they had one last fight with the Turtles.
