As an adult collector, it's not a big deal for me, if I get any they're just gonna sit on a shelf anyway. But a kid would want them to coincide with the show, & during that time-frame is when it'd make the most financial sense to release them, no? It's not like there are repeats to familiarize folks further.
This is actually the quickest Playmates has ever gotten new characters out while they are still on the show.
This very well could be why the other figures are on hold.
We may be seeing quite a few figures related to this season very soon!

Is it? Huh. I had no awareness of the release schedule as a child & I wasn't paying as much attention in the 4kids era. I guess I've killed off enough brain cells in recent years to forget the pace at which past Nick figures came out as well. Still, don't most other companies have their stuff ready to align with the series its based out of?

I've been noticing that Playmates has not been releasing a few of the announced toys. I mean like Muckman (who is said to be cancelled, but people still think he will be an Amazon exclusive), Kraang Prime (I don't care if he is rubbery, at least we would of gotten a second Kraang figure after what happened with Biotroid), Savanti Romero, The Mutant Pets 3 Pack, a few of the HSH figures, Mix & Match Leatherhead, and Mix & Match Baxter Fly.

Yeah the DX figures are actually coming quickly. Take the beaver for example, who appeared on store shelves a year after the episode.

I said it before and I'll say it again. Stuff is appearing pretty quickly.
The DX specifically. Only a half dozen aired episodes and about ten basic figures, a special box set, a space ship, 11" figures and a superb SDCC exclusive 11".
Totally loving this range.

Latest for me are two 11" Pets to Turtles. Much the same as their 5" counterparts. I'll take pics later. Well, maybe sooner. In a bar now and I'm sure my mates want to play with these toys 😳

The Turtle state actually gives the most articulated 11" Turtle yet.

I just picked up Casey, April, and Robobug from Target today. Cost + shipping if anyone wants them.

Again with the old toon joint pad painting goin' on. Hurm.

Also Raph's ankle wraps are a dark red? Weird.

These Turtles to pets have the colored pads, just as the recent 5" versions did.
Here's a size shot of the origina-last year-11"

And here's the unfolded 11" Leo with the first 11" Battleshell Leo.

The figures are nice enough, and I plan to keep Raph folded up and Leo unfilded.

Oh! I didn't remember the standard Mutatin' turtles having the color-coded joint pads.

I already got the characters I wanted (save for Slash). I have Metal Head, Fugitoid, Mozar, the main turtles, Leatherhead, and Mondo Gecko. Eventually I'm going to get myself each of the Punk Frogs, Slash, space version of each turtle, and if there's any more other Triceraton characters I will be getting them. I need to get Shredder and Splinter to complete the picture though (even if I'm missing April and Casey). Casey's alright but I don't like how April is just plot convenience for most of the time in the show.

I want a Kraang Sub Prime and Irma too.

The Fugitoid ship.
It's very much a push along toy.
It has the look of the ship as seen on the show but it's obviously way too small.

The Mikey figure is nice. I like the white body and logo. At first u was disappointed with the lack of a helmet, but I'm loving the head gear detailed onto the sculpt.
