I found all those jokes quite humorous. Not sure what the problem is here. Its amusing quips.

Its the forced humor in the IDW comic, and the 2k3 series, that usually falls flat because its trying to be funny but doesn't. Mikey saying, "I can read more manga now!" when he realized he could read Japanese made me roll my eyes.

I seriously doubt that's true.

Ugh. Well, all I can say is we have different senses of humor. More power to you, Cubed.

I'd say the criticism is fair and on point. I don't find the OT to have aged too well honestly.

The type of humor in the OT is used in many comedy shows, even ones aimed at adults. I'd love to know what you find funny then...in comparison I suppose?

I dunno, I have a hard time locking it down myself... basically it has to be really old (3 Stooges, Peter Sellers, classic Loony Tunes and Disney cartoons) or edgy. John Oliver, Pete Holmes, John Pinette... Flypaper, Deadpool, The Losers... <shrug>

But basically most recent comedies that people like just turn my stomach. I hate "Spaceballs", I hated "UHF"... oh, Dodgeball was good. Will Ferrell's great.

My wife and I spent two f*cking hours today watching videos of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog. That wasn't even the plan, that's just how it went down.

...Hating Spaceballs, though, and UHF... that's not allowed... especially UHF. The hell, man...

I can't believe I forgot to say "Archer." That is the single funniest thing ever. EVER. Anyone who disagrees should have to bump uglies with Cyril.

Got that right, DickNuts.

Although they replay the episodes too much considering every night is a marathon and there's really not that many episodes. I've seen the entire series at least 5 times by now, and some episodes I've seen over a dozen.

Still funny though. Pam got HAWT when she was on the coke. But then, they all do.

Abso-bloody-lutely.

And Cheryl got hotter when she got into country. That bit with the popsicles cracks me up every time. Krieger: "Need film, need film, need film!!!"

Did you just call the Fred Wolf cartoon "perfect"?
Spoiler:

In all seriousness though, how is something so cheap and lazy ever "perfect"?

When the Adam West series has aged better than the Fred Wolf toon, that's saying something.

Uh, no? The Adam West show was also aimed at adults, of course there was going to be adult humor in that series. In terms of characters/story, its basically slapstick and villain of the week.

I'm starting to think I'm the only one on this forum who still likes this show unironically(and a little ironically)...

To me it's just a fun little show.

I appreciate the 4th wall humor and puns much more than I did as a kid. The dialog is great. I do hate some of the goofy antics mid season 3- 6. Part of it holds up while other parts don't.

Because some people think angst, faux-drama, depression, and violence are the only ways to write a show, apparently. For some reason people forget different genres exist when it comes to TMNT.

Let's not generalize. It's just going to piss people off.

I'm well aware that the show is flawed. The writing can be hokey at times, and the lack of violence is annoying, but IMO the clever humor makes up for it.

Then again, it's probably also because I'm still not all that interested in the Mirage universe aside from the first movie and the 2k3 series.
