Playmates literally needs some new management, they had all these cool things ready and then they just screw us over with some lame excuse saying they can't produce it.

As a side note, I didnt know what thread to post this in. But was the standard "Foot Soldier" action figure discontinued? I used to see that damn thing everywhere but now that I decided I finally want one, it seems to have been erased from existence in all retail stores. I can find "Robotic Foot Soldier" with no problem, but the original has proven nigh impossible to find. I am trying the last 2 stores I know this weekend, but it is almost comical (in a frustrating way) how obscure he has become.
it kind of depends on where you check, at my Walmart the employees are as lazy as f*ck and they leave so much stock in the back but at my Target the employees are really good and, in fact, they always put out things early that aren't due till like a month.

There's no obligation to buy the Spitting Turtles . These love-children of Cobra Khan are not meant to be taken seriously.

yes i know there is no obligation but i never said i did buy them. i looked at them in the store put them down and walked away thats my opinion, that all we get is stupid variants and cancelled figures.

now there's T-Sprints which is even more of a joke. if kids like it hey more power to them but a good company should consider all demographics, not just toys for kids and say f*** the adult collector market. i know somebody will disagree but im entitled to my opinion

Lol....so here is my current "scorecard" on my hopeless hunt for a Nickelodeon standard "Foot Soldier" (not "Robotic" or movie) in the state of Ohio where they are seemingly obliterated from existence:

4 separate Walmart stores
2 separate Meijer stores
2 separate Kroger stores
3 separate Dollar General stores
1 Kmart
1 Target
1 Rite Aid
1 Walgreens
1 CVS Pharmacy

Results:
NOT A DAMN SINGLE ONE! They had to of been discontinued in the latest waves. They dont even show him on the back of the card anymore.

Well the figure I am looking for is an older figure so they should already be readily available. They all have the "space figures" like Fugitoid, Space Casey, etc.

If they were discontinued, then why do I see them around San Diego with the new package?

Playmates' distribution is crummy, that's really what it comes down to.

It's honestly not as bad as Hasbro.

Tell me about it. Most of europe seemed to be cut off from main distribution for about a year.

I wouldn't be suprised if a new flood of purplebacks and "ninjas in training" swept in over our shelfes as I am writing this.

I have the opposite problem. My closest Target is like your walmart. I have to tell them to go in the back and find me stuff all the time.

I don't think Playmates ever has cancelled a figure. It's just you are looking for a figure that isn't packed in the most recent waves. You will just have to wait until they repack him again. After they moved to the new cards they repacked every single character they every made into those waves.

Right now the incoming cases are space heavy as that is what the shoe has right now. From what I can tell the case comes with, all 4 space turtles, space Casey, Space April, Mozar, Dregg, Robug, Spittin Ralph, Spittin Mike, Monkey Brains, Serpent Karai and Mondo Gecko.

It has nothing to do with Playmates once they deliver their product to retailers they can't control where their warehouses send it.

If only we could get a Kraang SubPrime figure for the basic action figure line. I mean, Mega Blocks already confirmed a Kraang SubPrime figure for one of their playsets.

Not sure if people are still on the fence about the new Spittin' Raph and Mike I really enjoy my pair. I was able to find Raph and the pterodactyl this weekend. I passed on the Robotic Raptor and Tricaraton.

Wrong...
Playmates can very much control distribution by the choice of Marketing and distribution partners. Yes.

Nope wrong.

Playmates only controls getting the ordered cases to the stores. Even if they tried to tell the stores do you think a store like Walmart would listen? They don't even abide by the street dates on the boxes.

I've had many conversations about this with Habsro reps for other toy lines and they have said they can't control store distribution. There is no way Playmates has any more pull with stores than Hasbro does.
