So my mate is pretty down right now, even broke down and cried again last night when looking at the obit write-up on his friend.
Sorry for his loss. Give him a hug for me.

Thanks everyone. Gave him the hug, CKD. On the brighter side, Friday was his birthday and we are having his birthday dinner at Chili's today.

When I don't eat enough to take my medicine with, and then I get queasy. I'm never sure how much is enough so I can be settled.

It's part of why I never ate cereal for breakfast, save for January and early in February, because that would never cut it.

This darn head-cold won't let up. I started out my shift at work ready for action, but by dinner time I was so beat and congested that I could hardly concentrate!

Felt tired all day, with a headache, so basically stayed in bed most of the day. Then I went to do my laundry this evening, and before I could take it out of the dryer, the laundry room was locked! They recently made a new rule that it will be closed down at night, and I guess they didn't bother to see if anything was still going before they locked the door. So now all my laundry is stuck in the dryer, including my work clothes! Tried to jimmy the door or use a window, but no luck on either end. Now what?!

Okay, that is total bullcrap! You definitely need to report them on not double checking with tenants. If my place pulled that kinda stunt, I'd be super ticked!

What the hell, Duckie... Did you have work today? I hope it worked out for you if so.

Grind... customers with attitudes. Heard some woman say in a huff, "Well I guess I won't be buying any bras today."

Wtf? I'm sorry lady, did you see me there busy working on something with the merchandise? (More precisely trying to locate really old items on a long list I was asked to find and pull, and it gives so little detail to go on so it's nearly impossible to figure half of it out so it takes a lot of time and attention paid to what I'm doing.) Did you ever actually come over near to where I was to help accommodate interaction? I mean, if you have a question or want assistance, just frigging ask. I can understand that some people are a little shy about asking for help - I often am too - but anyone who acts huffy like that is not shy. (Overgrown princess just isn't happy that a retail robot isn't functioning to her liking and upgraded with mind reading ability.)

I suppose that comment was supposed to make me run over there and ask if you need anything? I'm sorry, but despite any store wanting employees to give good customer service and I do try to do just that, I'm not going to reward that attitude by responding to that like some dog responding to a harsh command. I have things I am doing. If you come within a reasonable speaking distance I will ask you how you are and open that communication if you're afraid to do so. If you ask me for assistance, such as wanting help looking for a certain size, I will be glad to stop what I'm doing, but I am not going to spontaneously hold your hand while you just look at bras when I have another duty I need to take care of.

Besides, what were you expecting me to do for you? There are lots of bras, what we have in stock is right there in front of you... you should know your size or able to take an educated guess, so find something you like and try it or a few on! So I really can't see what the attitude would be about. I can only imagine that because you saw me in that department you think I'm somehow a person who only works in that area and am somehow an expert and was supposed to run over to assist you (as if I was just standing around waiting for customers to show up - that's what mattress people do, not me) and... what? Let me guess, offer you a fitting? Is THAT the reason you were somehow impeded from finding a damn bra on a rack in front of you? SORRY, LADY - we don't do fittings. Nor am I "the bra girl," or whatever you think of me as. It's not me failing to offer you service, it's you having an attitude because you're incapable of finding something that's staring you in the face. Because really, who goes to an area of a store with tons of bras and then acts as if it's somehow impossible to buy any today...

Yes I did, actually. Fortunately I had a pair of black jeans that looked close enough to pass, and they had an extra shirt lying around to borrow. Had to have my hubby go down and get everything from the dryer when they unlocked the door this morning- which the guy is supposed to do at 8. He didnt open the place until 8:15. And he closed it 10 minutes early last night. Long story short I got through the day, but only because I was in the back window all day. Where no one can really see me anyway. Pain in the butt though. One good thing came out of it- hubby brought my work stuff and jacket to me and after I got off we had dinner at Chili's. They were doing a fundraiser for the Kidney Foundation too so we contributed to a cause that is important to us.

Car alarms annoy me to no end. Back when I worked at Giant, I'd be out in the parking lot where I'd hear those d@mn things going off constantly!!! Now I can't even stand the sound of somebody honking their horn, which is sad because I used to love that sound as a kid. Just a few minutes ago, I could hear some jack@$$ obnoxiously beating his horn a good 2 dozen times like he was celebrating having just gotten laid or something.

God, someone kept hitting their horn while I was sitting at the traffic light waiting to leave the parking lot after work. I don't know if someone had a kid or someone else who was acting or being allowed to act stupid, but they needed to be smacked. Unless this is some urban legend crap and you're trying to alert someone to a killer in their back seat...there was no damn good reason for someone to be doing that while we were sitting at the light.

Likewise, I don't have a lot of tolerance for it, largely due to stupid neighbors, or rather their friend(s) and/or family member(s) who think it's cute to do that rather than just get the heck out of the damn car and go into the house, or just, I dunno, call them and tell them you're there to pick them up instead of acting obnoxious.

One girl will show up and do that at 3am. Talk about lack of respect and consideration for others. An adult son of the woman who lives there (and I guess he lives there too?) told my mother that one is his sister and she does it because she's supposedly "afraid that racoons will get her." Wtf. Has this really been a life problem for you?

Me... I tend to forget my vehicle even has a horn, it sounds weird to even hear it.

A small grind I was reminded of today...

Yeah, I don't want to sound like I'm being prejudiced or anything, but it really kind of annoys me a little when I see couples (or what ever their relation is) where the woman/women is strictly dressed in traditional conservative stuff (the hair covered, wearing that long black dress or what ever it is) while the guy with them on the other hand is just in regular casual 'American' clothing. I mean, I'm not hating on how people choose to dress on their own free will, but I find it a bit hypocritical if the women are expected to remain 'traditional' but the guys don't/aren't. Only maybe a couple times have I seen the guys doing likewise.

3/8 - (This stuff needs to stop being work related.) Was trying to wait it out until 7pm to go to break, though I had a bit of a headache and certain families, their uncontrolled kids in particularity, weren't helping and were driving me a bit nuts. However at about 6:50 I catch sight of some guy in his underwear who apparently had no qualms about just trying jeans on right there and forgoing the fitting room entirely. So I just said, Screw it, I'm going to break - NOW. With hopes that they'd all be gone by the time I returned. I don't get paid enough for this.

D’you know that’s illegal where I live. And I quote “You must not use the horn or any other warning instrument on your vehicle, except in
an emergency or to prevent injury to a person or property.”

I explained that to an American guy I was working with a few years ago, and it seemed to really aggravate him. “Don’t tell me it’s because it makes too much noise?! This country has too many rules!” Maybe it does, but that’s one I happen to like.

Funny, because a horn is driving me nuts right now, but it’s not a car horn. There is a building site next door, and the crane driver honks the horn all day long.

That would be nice. The rules, not the construction worker. I don't even remember if we have any rules about that... if we do, it's sure as heck not upheld.

I think 90% of horn use in this country is basically intended to tell other drivers to F-off; 9.9% to get attention, .1% to prevent accidents.

Grind... looking at the clock thinking I need to head to bed in about an hour (which presently is now 20 min) and suddenly realizing I forgot to get a shower and the hair washed because I won't have time before work tomorrow. And my hair takes forever to dry. >.< (I hate using a hair dryer, that still takes forever anyhow.) I may be using paper towels to help suck some of the water out of it. lol
