I have a feeling we are not getting a mid season 2 part episode.

I also think that we are going on a 2 1/2 month hiatus after Earth's last stand for the new movie.

havent mentioned it yet but since the crossover looks like its gonna be at least a hr, itll prob replace the mid-season double ep

The crossover episode isn't an hour, if you look on zap2it it says 11 till 11:30.

But what if 413 and 414 are a two part episode? Even South Park has multipart episodes with each title having a different name.

So I'm guessing Earth's Last Stand is the final episode of the space arc.

14 episodes, they did say the season was extended to 26 episodes from the initial 20, so slightly more than half of the season will have been dedicated to the space arc. I wonder though if the season wasn't extended, would it still have been 14 episodes, leaving us with 6 non-space themed episodes of the season? Or did they feel like just adding more episodes in space for some reason? If that's the case, I think the episodes they added so far were probably "The Weird World of Wyrm", "Journey to the Center of Mikey's Mind" and "The War for Dimension X". I like one of them (albeit for less than objective reasons) but they all seem kind of pointless and I suspect at least one other of the upcoming episodes is as well.

And just out of curiousity, how does a season get extended? Does the network greenlight funding for a few more episodes or does the crew cut into episodes that were intended for the next season? If they did the latter, that would leave us with a season 5 that's only 14 episodes long.

The Season was original 20 episodes and got extended 6 more to 26, so its only 6 more episodes. Most likely the writers/directors found this out when they were halfway through scripting the space arc, so that way they could give the tail-end of the season a better finale rather than it being rushed.

Also I suspect Season 5 will be 26 episodes too unless we hear something different.

Half Shell Heroes? The flash animated special that clearly only exist for the purpose of shilling dinosaur toys? That one gets nominated for an award?

It's nominated for Sound editing, it got nothing to do with it's animation.
