I'll buy Donatello and Michelangelo. But not the whole set. I'm not going to complain about these figures, I'm just glad that the old TMNT movies are still popular enough to finally have authentic figures based off of them.
I will say though, Splinter, Shredder, April, Casey, and a Foot Soldier all in movie form would be a spectacular edition.

Wow the better pics just reinforced that I will not be buying these. They didn't even paint the inside of their mouths!

So they didn't sell enough being exclusives to one store, that they decided to hop instead of making them widespread?

I also hate that they are Walmart Only. Pixel Dan didn't say if Playmates had plans to sell them anywhere else. I kind of want Mikey because of the Combat Coldcuts

I'm actually interested in these for the sole reason of wanting the accessories and the head sculpts that could be used as custom fodder.

Those Secret of the Ooze figures look terrible! I like the idea of multiple head swaps but they all look bad...very disappointing.

The sculpts, and accessories, even the packaging looks good. Just need better paint job which is hard to come by unless toys are being released by smaller companies like NECA or Diamond Select.
Would be very repaint projects. Love the swapable heads.

The bigger pictures shows just how bad they are. None of Mikey's new heads look any good, Donnie's closed mouth looks alright, Raph's new head looks nice and Leo's new heads looks way better then the scared original head.

Interestingly the skin tones and accessories differ from in-package pics and promo pics, Leo and Raph's shuriken looks really crappy in the in-package pictures...

Pardon the baby-rage, but it legitimately pisses me off that there are people who even admit themselves that these are trash but will still buy them, whether it be to feed their habit or support Playmates in the blind hope that they might actually one day produce something that isn't crap. What the hell point is there? Save a few bucks, wait a few months, & you'll have your pick between Bandai & NECA versions, both being insanely accurate, having hands that aren't articulated & by extension entirely unable to hold their weapons, accessories that are realistic, etc... You guys complain about the treatment we get, be it from toy or film companies, & then you reward mediocrity by speaking with your wallet.

What Bandai versions are you talking about? I know of the Neca ones.

I'm not paying import prices for customs, which is primarily what I enjoy nor do I have room for quarter scale figures, so unless NECA is going to release 6 inch scale figures, my options for fodder are limited. limited. No, I have never actually invested in any of the Classics figures, and realistically I probably won't. Now, I rarely buy most of the Playmates figures, because the lack of articulation, the lack of paint details, and the lack of any decent figures worth getting are not there. I will however, be buying the newer Movie figures, because with a little paint work, and the fact they actually have some articulation, I'm willing to spend the nine dollars on.

Hahaha!

Is it just me or does this have a Chinese knock-off flavour about it?
