If you're a tween or younger looking to get into collecting...maybe these figures are suited for that...but they can't look right in a collection w/ products from NECA, MEZCO, DIAMOND SELECT, nor SH FIGUARTS.

Putting my original 1990 movie Classics on eBay, and waiting to see what NECA and Figuarts have in store.

I want accuracy.

After 26 years of no accurate Henson turtles, I have the nuclear option of starting a 1/4 scale collection w/ the NECA turtles. Already have about 60 NECA Aliens, Predators, & Terminators.

Happy to give them more business.

If they don't announce a 7in scale Henson line before Donnie comes out in June, then it's a done deal for me, 1/4 scale collection starts then. Already cleared off the top of my Detolfs.

Ah. Thanks for clearing that up. That disappoints me a bit.

Yup, same base body, so tall Turtles a'hoy. Suckers are 164mm tall (6.4").

The Movie Base body is the better of the two Classics Turtle bucks they've made (not hard to beat the Toon buck, its pretty terrible), so at least they move forward with that one, although if they had taken the time to scale them down at least by an inch, and fixed the hands, given them ankle pivot articulation, stepped up the face sculpt and given some paint beyond just the eyes (heck just have them being white as they can't pain pupils even if their life depended on it)

That would have needed creating new molds ... far too expensive for Playmates ...

Sadly yeah, Playmates would never make new steel molds, it's better to use a bucket to scoop out the water then actually fix the hull of the ship.

The packaging is nice, though. I'd say emulating Marvel Legends is a good move.

If they weren't advertised as movie figures I'd probably be pretty fond of them. As someone else pointed out, they're just fine for generic turtle figures.

These figures look great. I do wish there were some better head sculpts, but given that each has 4 to choose from, there's at least one good one for everyone. Easy buy.

I actually love those as generic Turtles figures. If that Leo had white pupils and maybe a red headband, it'd be my dream late Mirage figure.

Toy Hunt For Karai Figure And TMNT 2: Out Of The Shadows Figures

Sorry to interrupt, but I have been looking around a few stores recently and I haven't seen any new toy out yet. The last toys that came out as new were the Fugitoid Ship toy and Spitting Turtles.

I am desperate to get Karai and the movie figures, but FYI, I have only seen images of the movie figures online that they are in stores. But I haven't seen anyone posting that they got a Karai yet.

By the way, have gotten your hands on Karai yet DVD?

No Karai yet. Actually nothing on basic figures, since all attention at this time is on Movie related figures. Hence timing for the Ooze releases.
Can't see anything non movie related arriving till May.

They say "inspired by", to justify the fact they don't look like the ones in the movie, i guess

I think these have been put up before, but I can't see them.
The Spitting Turtles.
I like the attempt to be retro, but it just doesn't quite pull it off. Still, good variations for the Turtles wall.
Mikey is still a fave character of mine, so can't do wrong..

And then Raph...

I got an Ey Popping Leo, making a third of four, but can't see a Don doing anything. Expected him to appear as an Eye Popper as well .

Sticking with gimmicks.
Two Shadow Ninjas ... Leo and Mikey.
Supposed to color change in water but I think mine will stay dry in their packaging.

And here's Mikey.

Can't see the other two being released.

A distinct lack of Donatello figures still, eh?

Shadow Leo is pretty nice. I always liked the SDCC exclusive Leo but he had a lot less articulation. I'm going to assume the water changing figures use the wave 1 sculpts.

for some reason Donnie and Mikey remind me of Barney...
I think I'll just get Raph and keep Mikey closed...
