Wonder if they're all doomed and then April's psychic powers manifest miraculously at the very last second and blast Dregg out of orbit...

Man, I sure am going to enjoy this episode a lot. Apriltello. Ramona. Lord Vringath Dregg. Sectoid 1 revealed. This will be the best episode yet!

But I hope Lord Vringath Dregg doesn't get defeated in this episode. I would love to see him come to Earth.

Especially because of the Anti-Mutant story arc that will be next after this Heart of Dakrness story arc.

The anti mutant arc is probably one episode.

Then, why would they describe it as an arc if that refers to multiple episodes? Plus, we have 12 episodes as of now we know almost nothing about.

You remember Dark Raphael with Clash of the Mutanimals? Or how about this whole "leadership" thing from The Invasion with Don? So on and so forth... it might be longer, but probably done in an episode.

In other words, what NinjaPug said.

TBH, the real arcs lasted for at least 2 or more episodes. Max is 13-14. Pre-DP & FF arc, April defriended arc, Karai redemption arc, Northhampton arc, Karai search arc (which consisted of over 50% of the Foot episodes in season 3), and Triceraton/Black Hole Generator arc.

Then they go absolutely nowhere in terms of character.

April arc- It doesn't last long. Don only one to root for despite questionable behavior both times. (3 episodes)

Karai arc- (3 episodes) The best arc of the show, ending while powerful does lead to....

Mutation of Karai/hunt- .... (not withstanding Vengeance is Mine or The Invasion, only four episodes when it should have been at least five or six) This doesn't help Karai at all. I've been saying this for a while now, she's a caricature of her former self to advance the angle of Splinter and Shredder. She serves only as development fodder after Serpent Hunt and has a deus ex conclusion with those stupid hands.

Northampton- (8 or 8 and 1/3) An arc that should have done more for prepping to go home. Instead, it serves as homages majority of the time. Change of scenery yes, but the story implications really hurt the area this time.

Triceraton arc- I will comment on once we finish the arc.

Each of these arc didn't advance many things of the story; even then, it then negatively impacts another plot or character altogether. Karai is the prime example as well as the Kraang's invasion. It's a personal issue of mine, these arcs aren't doing a fantastic job of balancing the characters or previous establishments. In turn, I can't invest that often. Sorry dude, that's just how I see it personally and why I criticize the show as of late, it just can't maintain balance. It's still fun in terms of animation and action sure, but story wise..... not so much personally.

In fairness they never said that there'd be a dark Raph arc. As far as I remember, someone specifically asked about them in both examples. Someone asked if there'd be something similar to the dark Leo IDW and the reply was something along the lines of 'we're doing something like that but with Raph instead.' It was never said that it was an arc or how many episodes.

With human vs mutants Brandon does actually say that there's kind of an anti-mutant arc at the San Diego Comic-Con at around 46:50 so people can complain about this if it doesn't happen.

Yeah, really, it's the fans' own fault for making assumptions & then spreading those assumptions as fact. I've seen it time & time again with this series, though more-so with the Tumblr/Deviantart side of it than the drome. Chalk it up to age, I guess?

I don't think it's age, it's more people are simply too stupid to realise when Brandon Auman is joking around on instagram.

He says something in jest about Raphael and Mona having three alien/mutant offspring and suddenly it's official because BRANDON SAID SO.

But we'll excuse the people who only have English as a secondary language because things like sarcasm and humour between countries/languages is very easy to lose in translation.

When are they going to stop with heart breaking moments on this show??????? 2 weeks ago it was Leo, last week was Donnie and this week was Raph.

Is there going to be a heart breaking moment with Mikey next week (or the week after)????? I hope not.

I don't think so. He's going to meet and name Tokka but Raph is going to meet and take home Chompy while the Triceratons (most likely) will acquire the third piece of the BHG despite our heroes' best efforts. Maybe, in large part, on Mikey's bad? It's unlikely--he's already had his own episode this half season--but if it does, there should be large consequences for Mikey's character and how he views himself going forward.

Actually, next week will be Raphael getting his new pet, Chompy Picasso. Also is the episode where they get the last Heart of Darkness piece.

And by the way, about the episode...

Spoiler:

So Lord Vringath Dregg, when Raphael punched his head off, there is a robot inside of him and I am so confused right now.

So was Lord Vringath Dregg a robot all along?

Also, since Armaggon was dragged down by the scorpion alien thing, is he dead apparently? Does this also mean that this is the end of Lord Dregg since there was a robot or whatever inside of him?

It's possible. They did bring the major space characters outside the Triceratons into the fold for this episode and the fact that we're two episodes away from going home should have been a clue. However, the episode's tone should have reflected that there was a sense of finality to it but it didn't so that was a bit of a mistake.
As for Dregg being a robot, it wasn't developed and explored too quickly outside Casey's constant use of the word "metal." If it was supposed to be a clue, it seemed more arbitrary than subtle but other than that, it's still a nice touch (mostly). Dregg being a robot was also a good way to end the Dregg & Armaggon arc because, with Dregg being a robot, the creators of this show could give him any kind of goodbye they want...which should make us feel worried about the Fugitoid come episode 13 or 14.

As in an actual script or just the plot? If it's just the plot I'm fine with it but not so much if it's the script, Eastman has never really been that good with scripts.
