Fake April fan club on eBay

Hey everyone I just wanted to warn everyone before you sink a huge amount of money into it, there is a fake fan club April on auction on eBay, if you know rare fan clubs usually bring a lot of money, I have owned and still own many rare fan clubs I just wanted to warn it, it's not what it seems, please be aware, the seller is not stating its a fan club or it's legit but for people who don't know I don't want you making a big mistake, it's not real

No rare fan club, April, splinter, Shredder, Rocksteady, Bebop and Foot soldier figure was ever made in Macao, the 4 turtles were the 6 rare ones were not!

Plus this April is made in Macao and made in Macao Aprils have a small piece of tape on the bottom where the bubble isn't sealed, easy place to slip a flyer up in, I don't know who how and when this was done to this figure but it's wrong and not correct for it

Back a few years ago someone tried this with a shredder and picked the wrong card.

I hope this helps

When I followed the link it opened to a graded by AFA figure. I thought AFA is trusted and knows there stuff. Kind of like if you send comics to CGC or PGX for grading they can tell if it's been restored. Has this been a miss by AFA or what I wonder?

People usually feel more safe buying graded merchandise because of the third party involvement and authentication.

Thoughts?

It's too bad there was never an April release that came with the rare Pop-Up Displays. I'm glad we were able to account for them all on this other thread.

The guys at AFA can't be all knowing, and will probably grade it as they see it. Heck, there's been incidents where people have opened graded comics and found out that the comic have been switched with a lesser valued printing.

I would think AFA would be near all knowing, heck, it's their job. Especially when it comes to larger priced items. But sometimes I'm a fool.

I hadn't heard about switches in comics but believe it. I have heard about the acid free boards that go in the covers being left out.

When I get around to purchasing my first AFA figure I'm for sure going to be more skeptical as now have proof of mistakes.

Thanks for the info but how do you know it was made in Macao? I see China and other places on the back of the card but no evidence of what you are referring to.
Just curious...I dont collect this kind of stuff.

That one doesn't have a fan club flyer in the package.
