I honestly wish the playset was smaller. I simply don't have room for it

Im trying to find room to have this sitting next to the first release! Not easy!

Still haven't built it or even opened the box. Planning to rectify this oversight tonight.

OK. I built it.
It took about an hour and a bit. I'm a professional, I built the original!! Haha!!

It has pluses and minuses against the first release, but overall, on first looking at it, I prefer it.
For now I can keep it set up on the dining table. My girlfriend is visiting her parents, so I'm safe!!

Here's some pics.

That slide is a pain to figure out.

I'll do some moving about in the Turtles room, and find a location for this and the original for some side by sides.

That's what took me the longest to assemble. I don't know how many times I thought I had it just to have to take it apart and try again. If it wasn't the coolest feature of the set (and in all honesty, the feature that convinced me to buy the set to begin with), I probably would've gotten frustrated and given up.

I was ready to quit and get back to it tomorrow. Then I decided I wouldn't be beaten by a toy that is supposed to be built by kids!! Haha!!
Glad I stuck with it. It's quite an impressive set up.

I got the Movie Donnie today, I'm going to open him tomorrow and when I get the 2 pack of Don vs Shredhead I'll keep that MIB. Now all that's on my want list is Shredder, Talking Rocksteady, and Donnie's RP gear

I found a home for the playset.

I moved a tv that was on this unit, into another room.
It still wasn't big enough to display both sets.

I picked up the entire wave, sans Shredder, Foot Soldier and Casey. Those are the ones I feel remind me of a dollar store toy. One of the reasons I slowed down on the line to begin with. I like this wave though. Colorful, different sculpts with enough articulation and paint to appease.

When I saw the figures advertised on Facebook and the like, people were mostly complaining about the film and the character designs, so at least the figures aren't receiving all of the hate. It's the very same thing that happened with Transformers movie/toy lines.

I'm really looking forward to the disguise ones, which is odd as I've generally always shied away from the themed TMNT. Bebop is by far my favorite of the wave.

Hahaha!!! I liked that.

In mean time, here is a packaged pic.

I'll do loose pics in the Playset next week.

And on that, this is slightly moved, but now includes the figures.

Honestly in my opinion, Leo looks better than he did with the prototypes, but I'm surprised to see that Mikey's eye is painted

I'd pick it up as a Leo figure. I like the normal Mike as well.
So, figures worth getting: (In my opinion)
Stealth Leonardo
Basic Michelangelo
Kraang
Bebop
Rocksteady
