I've been a fan of Brad Garrett's for a long time. Not only did I see many episodes of Everybody Loves Raymond, he is a solid voice actor. HOWEVER, this is a big miscast. Krang has never had such a deep voice before. Armisen seemed much more suited for the role. So, I'm not sure how this is going to work.

I don't have a problem with Brad Garrett as an actor either. I know you like to be optimistic, but come on, dude. Krang is a character created for the 80s show who had a very distinctive voice which was part of his charm. Now I can understand them not wanting to make him as over the top as he was in the cartoon but Brad Garretts voice is polar opposite of what his voice should be. It's like saying "I wonder what Raph would sound like with a British accent" or "I wonder what Mikey would sound like voiced by a 12 year old girl". He'll either sound like Brad Garrett or he will sound like Brad Garrett trying to do a bad Krang impression. Anyway, I'll know the day after tomorrow

That's an odd choice. Considering how much older he is now, especially since Finding Nemo, there might be a different quality to his voice. From the way he looks in this movie though, a high pitched voice probably wouldn't work.

I know Krang had a higher pitched voice in the old cartoons and such, but maybe this version of Krang is supposed to be scary and intimidating, so Brad Garrett's baritone voice would make sense for something like that.

I couldn't care less about Krang's voice, tbh.

This isn't like casting a middle-aged man as a teenager. This is a villain. If they're going for goofy Krang, sure, go for a higher voice. But everything we've seen from this Krang indicates that they're trying to make the character serious.

Exactly, in order to make Krang serious and a real threat, he needs a voice like Brad Garrett to pull it off.

I've been giving these guys props on this film but this is where I draw the line
first off I love Brad Garret and have been following his career for a while but when I think Krang I don't think baritone I think high pitched and sinister idk man this is a extremely odd casting choice I'll see how he does in the actual film
