That comparison is entirely trivial because the string theory also has antecedents in classic fiction. There's also, y'know, the point that none of this matters because the storytelling implications and effects are exactly the same.

It's odd. They make it seem like the first movie had actual character progression for the Turtles. And they make it seem like this one's going to have progression for them, too.
