That's exactly what they could've done but they lack the common sense. It seems as if they thought they weren't going to be able to make anymore so they crammed everything into this one. I think they wrote themselves into a corner and now they'll be forced to take from other incarnations if they want to continue the story.

Just booked my ticket. Can't seem to find a 3D showing anywhere at a reasonable time for some reason. Oh well, 2D will give my eyes a rest I suppose.

It's the same at my cinema in Luton (Cineworld) they've given the 3D slots to Warcraft. Maybe they will add more 3D slots to TMNT 2 from Friday.

I want to see TMNT 2 in 4DX at Milton Keynes but they haven't got a slot yet.

Brian Tee refers to the Shredder as 'Oruku Saki'...

SethMartin - dont know if this was asked, but is the Shredder ever referred to as Saki in the film? Does his history as Saki ever come into play?

Yeah I know but we haven't even seen any critic reviews yet, usually they release a critics tv spot after the movie release.

I've checked all the other big films out at the moment and Alice Through the Looking Glass is hogging all of the 3D slots, same with Luton - as well as Warcraft.

I don't know how well Alice has done in the UK. But I bet they regretting putting Alice Through the Looking glass in a lot of 3D slots.

I asked Seth myself and I've seen a few other people around the net comment on it.

The answer to both questions is
Spoiler:
no

The fact that they're doing this one movie at a time doesn't work for them. Not anymore, at least.

Take The Dark Knight for example. Ra's al Ghul and Joker are commonly known as Batman's most iconic villains. Obviously Joker's the bigger one, so you'd think they'd save him for the third movie, right? Nope. Second movie. But guess what; that worked. Why? Because the third movie, which featured Bane, who is MUCH lesser known than Joker, who had a plan that connected with Ra's and Joker.

If you're going to bring your a-game for a movie that's not the final part of a trilogy, good god, at least make sure that you have a plan for the third.

Cylon can tell you, but I wrote scripts and outlines for a TMNT trilogy just to prove to myself that I could do it better than these guys. Krang gets introduced in Part 2, and 2 ends on a cliffhanger and Krang remains as the antagonist in 3.

These writers have no idea how to make stories carry over. I just hope to god that this movie turns into an Amazing Spider-Man 2 situation where it bombs and Paramount cancels any plans they had for a sequel.

I'm just gonna go on a limb here and say Brian Tee actually did research for the character, and actually did more research than the writers.

"Wait, Shredder has a real name and a backstory?!"

Not at all. He doesn't say that in the movie. It's just a trailer voice over.

On that TV spot, one of the reviews comes from Joblo saying "Best Ninja Turtle Movie Ever"

Shredder is never referred to as "Oroku Saki" in the movie. He's always called "Shredder"

I disagree with that. It is one of the best since the 1990 movie but it doesn't beat that one. SOTO is debatable

Keep in mind, all reviews are different, that one review thinks it's the Best Ninja Turtle Movie Ever, it probably met there expectations, a lot of people who grew up with Fred Wolf will see this movie, and there expectations might be met.

I don't like SOTO at all. It's an amount of crap. The 1990 one is the best so far, but I don't like the turtles costumes.

I grew up with the OT series. I was a fan as a kid 3 years before the '90 movie came out. After the '90 movie, I started reading the comics. Gradually, I outgrew the OT series because I wanted to see something more grown up like the '90 movie, but as the movies continuously deteriorated in quality, I outgrew TMNT all together other than the comics.

I agree. SOTO is not a good movie. However, if you grew up during the time, SOTO was my favorite movie when I was like 9 years old. It's not as good as the '90 movie, but it stayed true to the characters and added elements from the OT series which is what Turtle fans wanted at the time. I just watched it the other day after like 20 years and it's actually pretty funny.

I watched all 5 movies this weekend and TMNT 1990 still top for me so far.

1. TMNT 1990 9/10
2. TMNT 2007 7.5/10
3. TMNT SOTO 7/10
4. TMNT 2014 6.5/10
5. TMNT 3 6/10

I'm predicting that TMNT OOTS will pop into 2nd.

Your list is pretty accurate. I'd put SOTO above 2007 just because it's more entertaining, but I can see 2007 beating it because of the Leo/ Raph conflict. Definitely agree that the pile of dogsh*t known as TMNT 3 belongs at the bottom. No matter what Michael Bay does, he'll never make anything worse than that. Walker and a Samurai as villains, blah. Walker imploding into himself before he hits the water, horrible costumes, plot, and bad voice acting. I'll take Michael Bay any day. Although, I give it a 0.007/10

For me personally it would have to be....
1990
Soto
Tmnt3
2014
2007

Lol. Now that I'm looking at the order I put my list in it seems the movies get worse with each passing one with the exception of 2007. I fuc*ing hated that movie. The only memorable part of that entire snooze fest was the Leo raph fight. Hopefully oots will change this and be high on my list tho.
