I don't know why Mikey jumped into the pile of foot soldiers. I didn't pay much attention to what happened in the intro.
I think Raphael's birthday was in the season 6 episode Mr. Nice Guy.

Dude, it's a theme song. Who bloody cares? A second earlier we see Raphael making a goofy face, and just before that Donatello flying around on some silly helicopter device.

That sounds exactly like what a party dude would do.

Yeah that was the same animation studio used in some of S4 and on. The 2nd theme looks like the same studio who did "Splinter Vanishes", "Unidentified Flying Leonardo", and "Beyond the Donatello Nebula", just to name a few. Still love the original theme animation the best though. Can't beat Toei animation.

See if the animation had been of that quality all the way through the show's run it wouldn't be so easy to pick holes in the FW animated show.

I agree, mostly. But even companies like Toei and whatever studio that did the 2nd intro, still had animation mistakes. The problem with the OS is how rushed it was. If they had more time there'd be less animation errors. And because the show was so rushed, Fred Wolf had to employ many different overseas animation studios to animate all the episodes in a short period of time (lots of toons did this, even Batman: TAS is guilty). What sucks is that it makes the show lack in art quality. "Time is money" and all that. But at least some shows like B:TAS, later went on to correct the previous animation errors. Too bad the OS didn't do the same.

Toei is great at animation. The first TMNT intro was AWESOME!
