If I had to guess....Well, Nick or the studio that animates the show was hiring animators to work on TMNT about a year ago. I assume one of these newbies, who can exclusively watch these episodes early since he's one of the animators, stole the footage and print-screen'd some shots to post on the Wiki under a random username.

BTW That promo a few pages back gives me more hope for this show to get better. Let's hope it does.

Actually is it me or does Leonardo seem to have a black bandanna in that image? Because if you look closely at Leonardo, you can sort of see that he has a dark bandanna that doesn't look like it's blue.

Also if he is some newbie from the studio, wouldn't it be bad that this person is spoiling stuff drom the new episodes? I mean, what if the person is doing it without permission?

I'm still going by my theory that if Leo goes dark in Broken Foot and he looks normal in The Insecta Trifecta and Bat in the Belfry he could be still under hypnotism and not knowing it and anyone else knowing it.

I expect Raph will start being a bit suspicious of Leo and maybe follow him at some point but will get captured and hypnotized to Dark Raph.

that plot line may start in broken foot but from the promo, although the summary 4 mutant gangland hasnt been released yet, i think itll definitely pick up speed there

I was rewatching 4Kids City at War Part 3 today and came across this:



Ring any bells?

Seems like Miwa is only half of Karai's adaptation from Mirage/4Kids, and Shinigami is going to fill the role of the other half. I suspect we're going to see a lot of Karai reference from Mirage/4Kids being applied to Shinigami instead.

Yes it does look like Leo is wearing the new "Dark Leo gear".

I wonder if he's wearing it of his own free will and not hypnotized at all. The Episode description did say he secretly allies with Karai.

i can see how shinigami would be part of it if shes do-or-die dedicated 2 the foot..... her nickname can be taken literal since she causes "death", not in the physical sense but in the sense of causing the person 2 "die" as a result of changing their personality, etc w/ the hypnotism



if im right w/ that theory, then in earths last stand where leos helmet cracks, it can be a form of foreshadowing on his "death".....i may be reading 2 much in2 it but see it as a possibility

regarding whether it last more than 1 ep, like ive said in some previous posts
1. they wouldnt use a portion of the budget 4 the show just 2 make a outfit/costume that was just gonna be used once
2. in clash of the mutanimals, raphs look wasnt changed aside from the exception of sliding on the pair of gauntlets, which was just a identical copy of shredders gauntlets

not saying any of this 2 get any1s hopes up or build up hype, just stating my point of view

I've read your theorys and judging that new pic I don't think Leo's going go dark at all and is doing it all in his own free will but he can still go dark later, remember this concept art.



Leo is wearing the same outfit and Raph is there too, so something is going to happen to them later.

There was nothing wrong with that. As fun as the mind control trope can be (especially when it's at its best), the constant drawback is that there's no possibility for development. That's why the trope usually doesn't run longer than one episode. It's also why it was a mistake to keep Karai under that condition at the end of "The Deadly Venom" while it was NOT for Raph to be free of that condition near the end of "Clash of the Mutanimals."

Also I'm pretty sure that it's safe to say that Shinigami is this series' version of Kitsune--both are witches under Shredder's employ during the "City Fall"/"City at War" storyline with the ability to manipulate minds and memories.

something else i happened 2 think of, if leo does end up hypnotized and it lasting despite every1 thinking he was freed from it and raph does start being suspicious, he may not really end up hypnotized but just acting like he is in order 2 protect leo while leo isnt in control

Totally agree. I feel like, based on the episode descriptions and some of the new pics/videos we've been seeing, they may take part one of City at War from 2003 (which is based off of the Mirage Comics) and spin it to make it work for the Nick show.

looked at some of the screenshots from the promo and no clue if its episode specific 4 bats in the belfry but both leo and raph r wearing black armbands, along w/ some other gear that looks kinda similiar 2 the concept art

havent seen it on any of the past eps where they have used their gliders and its not on pics from those eps either from wat ive seen(excluding the straps across their chests)
