1989 Genghis Frog (Black Belt or Gold Belt)

I was wondering if someone knows which version of 1989 Genghis Frog (Black belt or Gold belt) is more expensive or harder to find.

I would prefer a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, but a gold belt for Genghis Frog.

I have not seen a price difference,but I have seen the yellow belt more often and is the one I have.

If it helps the 2 belts are both listed on Myteefinestuff.com

The black one is $0.50 and the gold one is $45.

Big difference but he also has a Genghis Frog there with the black belt that is $2200 cause the grenades are bagged so who really knows.

The version of him that is the most expensive is the one with the grenades in little bags. I'm not sure why that is but that's the way it is. There's multiple Slash variants as well that have different colored belts and a different colored S and the one with the different colored S goes for a TON more. I saw a guy at Heroescon this year that was asking $175 for a Slash variant with a regular S. I thought that dude was a moron for asking that much.

Thank you for finding out. It is good to know I have the gold one. $2200 just because the grenades are bagged is insane.

Yeah, I knew some things about Slash and his variants. It seems that just the belt can make much difference. Thank you.

Zounds! I can't remember ever seeing a gold belted one.

Slash variants are definately a different topic and besides that Slash comes in more than 2 or 3 varieties. Regarding Genghis I don't remember seeing any other than one with a black belt ever.

Is this 100% sure Genghis with golden belt were released before the black ones? Blue ones are some kind of specialty? Either way 45 bucks over 0.50 is a bit made up, isn't it? We're still talking belt, not unpunched MOC Genghis. Any reliable and detailed information?

I'd never seen it either.
