I'm starting to think it might be Karai who gets killed this time around and the next season explores the notion of the afterlife. Maybe we'll get to see her reunite with Teng Shen.

If it is Karai, it has to be a temporary death because Kelly Hu has been doing voice recordings for season 5.

The only people who haven't been seen (in instagram and Twitter posts) doing voice recordings for season 5 are Hoon Lee and Josh Peck.

I think you misunderstood what I'm saying. Even if Karai dies, she'd still be around but as a spirit. They're going to be delving into a lot of supernatural stuff in season 5, which most likely means we'll be seeing some ghosts.

Sorry i didn't take it in properly, still half asleep, but I don't think it's Karai.

I still reckon Splinter will die because Hoon Lee hasn't been seen doing voice recording sessions but he could be doing them separately, so we probably still see Splinter, in visions, memories and flashbacks.

Dominic Catrambone has been voicing Leo again, so it's more likely it is for flashbacks.

Or it could just mean "owari" as in "finished" or "end" because it sounds cool and it is Japanese. Look at Shinigami. Her name isn't a name, technically. Her name literally means "Death God". Maybe it's supposed to be a nickname. They probably gave her the name because it "sounded cool".

So whoever dies and if it is Super Shredder who killed them. The Turtles could be fighting him in the season final but it possibly be a lot longer than the other times they fought him.

If it's a temporary death, maybe this leads to what will happen in season five and how they get the scroll of the demodragon or whatever to try and revive whoever is killed off. I'm just glad we'll see more Shinigami because I think she's awesome.

I remember Kelly Hu posting a photo on Instagram showing her and James Wong, who was the voice of that spirit in "A Chinatown Ghost Story", doing an episode together in the sound booth. And since I once heard that Minae Noji (voice of Tang Shen) will be returning in some capacity, I'm under the belief that we'll see an episode where Karai is able to see and interact with her mother's spirit. I hope that's the case because we all know she needs some sort of closure like this in order to go forward, whether in a new direction or just proceeding in a better way as she is. Her mother is the reason after all that she has fought on both sides and is the main reason she's still fighting as it is.
I also wonder how Mark Hamill's Kavaxas character will play in the final episodes to come?

I think James Wong could be playing a different character, I can't imagine that spirit from A Chinatown Ghost Story coming back. I could be wrong though.

I haven't heard anything about Ho Chan returning. All I know that James Wong is returning but he could be voicing a different character.
