The 1st EVER TMNT UK Fans Meet-Up!

That's right.

I've been suggesting this on and off for the better part of my 17 or so years on various Turtles groups and now something is happening! A few of us Brits are brainstorming a meet set for this November and gathering interest.

Group event page here:
https://www.facebook.com/events/1085130328245561/ or here

Strange. It works for me. I'm looking into it. Facebook playing silly beggars possibly.

Were aiming for Nov 20th somewhere in London. Hope you can make it!

Will also crosspost details here as they happen.

Yeah, that's good, Mikey. I don't even trust you with a driver's license.

Nice one! I've looked into why the link is not working. The page has been set to private. Asking the root admin to change to public (as I am unable to).

Sure thing mate. The Nickelodeon store in Leicester Square is down as a gathering up point and then off to a pub in the later going.

As a viacom employee I get staff discount here!
Though the Nick store is pricey...

Sounds like it could be fun, shame it's just before pay day though

Any idea on which pub?

Cheers,
Doug

Theres a fair amount of good pubs around Leicester square if you go down the back roads etc aware from the hoards of tourists.
A good pub nearby is the Chandos but it does get very busy.

Last time I was up, we went to The George in Southwark, nice but a bit of trek.
The Cambridge used to be good, not been there for years though.

The Chandos looks good, from what I can see on google anyway

Cheers,
Doug

The Cambridge at the top of Shaftesbury (Near to Forbidden Planet) is still good, but on theatre days it gets BUSY!
I'm a CAMRA member so i'll come back with a list of 5-10 mins walking radius.

Just a recommendation, there's a nice Dutch pub a few clicks North of Leicester Square called De Hems, nice selection of beers in there. Sort of on the entrance to Chinatown. You'll see it in relation to Leicester Square by looking on Google maps.

That's if peeps want to go somewhere for a social drink.

Small turnout yesterday but turned out really well.

We hit all the toy stores, crashed a Christmas parade, and even went on a rescue mission to liberate a lonely Raphael toy from a comics shop.

Here's us (Me, Mrs Hero, Rob Wilson and Dave Shorter) raising a pint glass to the Nickelodeon crew to congratulate TMNT's 100th episode.

Sorry I wasn't there for this.
Sadly I was in the tram crash you may have seen in the news so busy getting strong again just out of hospital. I'm in my 'Northampton' phase at the mo - healing and getting stronger everyday. all being well I'll be there for the next one!

I like to tag along for the next meet up as long as it's not on a Sunday as I don't drive so I have to catch a bus then a train.

Sorry to hear you were in the Tram crash, hope you have a speedy recovery. My friend who lives in Coulsdon, (we meet up in East Croyden when I visit her) knows someone (from her daughters school) was in the Tram Crash, they are ok.
