I think it depends on the company and director attached to the story. I mean the film adaptions of the Hunger Games and Harry Potter have been decent and rather enjoyable. Nolan's Bat Man Trilogy gave us a new incarnation of the batman franchise. And that upcoming film adaptation of Ghost in the Shell seems to show promise, though I'm not holding my breath on that one.

Harry Potter are books, and book adaptions are another deal.

But yes, adaptions of nostalgic televised properties such as G.I. JOE, Smurfs, transformers, alvin and the chipmunks and such are more action and gimmick than actual substance.

At least all of them are better then Jem the Movie. Makes me wonder how a Rainbow Bright Movie would turn out...then again, better that doesn't happen ever.

Or maybe some Utroms should return to Earth, assisting the turtles during one of their missions?

I agree, but I just wanna see one more crossover with the original VAs because in about a decade or two, odds are we won't have many of them with us anymore. They all love playing their roles and seeing them get together one last time for an episode would be wonderful and a great send off to their legacy.

I think two crossovers is perfect, the first introduces our characters and the concept of alternate turtle realities while the second expands upon it and finishes on a high note. Any more Id reckon would be too much and would ruin the special feeling of having the 80s turtles appear in the Nick show.

Is it known if the next crossover will be a double-episode, like many hoped for the previous to be?

That is not known at the moment, but knowing that season 5 is primarily consisting of multi-parters, its certainly possible.

Atleast if its only 1 episode, then we can watch both crossovers together as a two parter.

I think it would be cool if we had a scene like turtles forever where they show all the different turtle realities, this time showing 2k3 and the new versions that have appeared since turtles forever was made.

Demodragon

And we don't know if the Demodragon is the Warrior Dragon working title?

It's not a spoiler I just didn't want the image to be too big and clog up the page.

So the break between Season 4 and 5 should not be very long at all It should be a few weeks right?

I’m under the impression that the 2003 Turtles haven’t appeared for voice acting reasons. It would explain why they didn’t have the Mirage Turtles talk for the last special. The Donatellos just did their thing and left before they could get attacked by them. Maybe they don’t want to use the 2003 Turtles unless the original voice actors are there to voice them.

possibly

sadly, the way i see it is that nick is just trying to act like 03 didnt exist and wipe it from history...... especially since they havent tried on making the dvd sets that have 03 episodes on them more consistent...... maybe wrong on that but if they really wanted to make episodes with the 03 version in it, they would do what they could on that - union based or not

I partially disagree as far as the Nick show goes, though since the show references things from multiple facets of the franchise. Practically all of them in some way or form. In the season 1 ep, it was subtle, but in the ep where they were forced to switch their weapons, Donnie put Raph’s sais together in a certain way and it reminded me of his weapon from TNM. lol

Now on the other point, maybe…or either there’s some other reason why it hasn’t been put on DVD.

And the Parasitica episode was loosely based off the Fast Forward episode, the Freaks Come Out at Night. And Creeping Doom had an almost Good Gene's vibe to it. So the 2k3 episodes are being used in the show, it's just more subtle than say the OT references.

That would be ideal like "Person of Interest", after taking a full year off after learning that they would only be given half a season to finish the series, showed their last 13 episodes in 7 weeks. In this scenario, it's highly unlikely.

Whoa, now there's a first, working alongside the person who took over your role in a film sequel, as well as the animated version of that character. Could you imagine if they got Judith Hoag and Paige Turco in the same room along with Mae Whitman?

This was posted on Tumblr, not sure if it's a official pic or photoshopped or something but at the London Toy fair there are Turtles dressed in samurai gear.
