Maybe he'll surprise people like Michael Keaton did, but I doubt it. Affleck was never interesting in the role and as of right now I don't see Pattinson playing a fascinating Batman based on his body of work.

Batman gets overshadowed by the rogues half the time anyway.

Latest rumor is that the movie will not only include villains like Penguin, Riddler, and probably Catwoman, but Commissioner Gordon, Alfred and Robin are potential additions as well.

Dick Grayson? It would make sense and be cool to see. What kind of tone might we see? The tone being g similar to Aquaman would work fine.

I would like to see a proper Robin in live-action for once. It can be done. Sure giving Batman a teenage sidekick feels weird in a "real" setting, but they can make it work.

The movies were fine for the time, especially Forever. I was a little kid and loved them, of course some jaded adults/teenagers who grew up with Burton wouldn't have liked them but to me now as an adult I don't see those 2 movies much worse than the burton ones when it comes to getting batman wrong.

You share my opinion on that other than the fact Batman Forever remains my favorite Batman film because it has Dick Grayson and The Riddler in it. Sure, I did not like the pointless neon or Riddler's final battle costume and I wanted more of a psychological look with Chase's presence and the theme being present,but hey its still really good.

You don't need to be jaded to like Burton movies more than Schumacher's.

Excited to see Pattinson's take on Batman. Unlike Affleck and much like Bale -- Pattinson is a character actor and I could easily see him disappearing into the role.

Everybody should watch Good Time. Not just because of Pattinson but because it's an amazingly crafted film.
