It's my birthday today, and a Zelda & Loftwing amiibo got announced to go with the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD for the Switch.

Happy belated b-day.
Happy makers... it's finally warmer out (albeit we jumped from 60s to upper 80s -- what is spring?) and I came across ONE box of Acme's store brand version of the Drumsticks ice cream cones with the peanut butter. My Walmart, where I've usually gotten them, is failing again to stock them, like last year... not even in the name brand, and the peanut butter ones are never there when fully stocked. Guess we eat this one box slowly. |

Yesterday was my Anniversary; my wife and I have been together for 21 years.
We celebrated in our preferred fashion, with a huge meal at Red Lobster: My wife asked me not to share the picture of her because she doesn't like the face she ended up making. Blah. I also got a few things I ordered in the mail, so overall the day couldn't have gone any better.

Today was a good day.
Made some pretty intense coin swaps to leverage this crypto dump that managed the current ETH/BTC relationship extremely well. Really happy with the results. Also got a metric f-ton of stuff in the mail today that rounded out my Bandai Thundercats 2011 Collection. Had a few nice, small store sales - our action figure bags are top notch and super high quality, btw. They sell like crazy. And spent the evening in Rosemont, IL at a High School graduation of the "bosses" daughter. The ceremony was very well done, we were all very proud. It was a solid day. |

That one hurt, unlike the first, and the same sore, stiff arm is coming back so that's going to be great fun trying to sleep... but glad the second vaccine dose is finally behind me. If the same soreness (really sore) is all I get again, I can deal.
Grats. You guys go back to around high school then? |

Oh wow, I hope that's a great transfer. I'll absolutely be picking that one up. I got jazzed about Transformers this year for the first time in decades because of the "cinema series" Rodimus, Kupp etc that were released.

Dollar Tree had the "Aughra's Wisdom of Thra" book (tie-in to the Netflix series) and couldn't resist grabbing one.
Is about 6.25" square and kind of styled like one of those gift type books with the inspirational-ish quotes, though given the source they're more "make of it what you will" quotes. Really nice art so a pretty cool find. They also had this possible gem that seems to have great Amazon reviews. And for a $1 at Dollar Tree. A rather thick little hardback for mid-level readers, so looks like a fun little easy read that I can enjoy and then pass (or give borrowing privileges) on to my nephew when he's older, if we can get him to be much of a reader. Reminds me of one of those kid novels that people eventually make movies out of... and looks like there are at least a couple more I may need to watch for. |

Ooh that Aughra book looks interesting! Might have to hunt it down. Already have the movie sequel comic trilogy books in my queue on Amazon. I really love all the worldbuilding Jim and co did for the movie, and now the Netflix series.

My wife and I decided today that our code in the gym for "God DAMN that girl over there is f*cking hot" is gonna be "Free James Brown".
Backstory: Back in '89, Hulk Hogan and Brutus Beefcake were training actor Tiny Lister (aka "Zeus") for a couple matches. Dude wasn't a wrestler, so he'd occasionally get a bit too "intense" during the practice sessions - it's hard to only choke someone "a little bit", for example. So they had a code so that if ever he was like choking someone too hard or whatever, Hogan or Brutus would yell "FREE JAMES BROWN!" and he'd settle down. So yeah, there's these f*cking Goddesses at the gym I go to, and today me and her would be sneaking glances on the sly going "Good LORD... Free James Brown!" back and forth the whole time. We have fun.

I just won $50 off a lottery ticket. And I will put that money in the bank where I hoard all my money.

So one of the people here with the most money banked away wins $50. Darn you and your money magnet luck. lol Grats!
Reminds me that someone left their trash on my stationary display in Walmart, which they often do , but it was a couple of crumpled scratch off tickets on Wednesday. I knew carelessly losing winning tickets would be highly unlikely, but damn right I checked them just in case someone left me a jackpot. LOL Think the most I ever got was $20 off the Powerball. |
