https://www.eia.gov/energyexplained/...nd-exports.php

In 2020 and parts of 2021 we were a net exporter of petroleum. Yes, we were importing barrels, but we were exporting them out of the country at a higher rate per day. I can't imagine what changed.

Bad enough for the average person, imagine what it costs in diesel to fill up a firetruck these days, and they have no choice. Ouch.

My sister was considering the Disney Halloween cruise and had extended an invite to go, but what the hell would those tickets even cost now? Kind of glad those plans changed, seems foolish to do it now with the likely jacked up prices passing fuel costs on to passengers. I don't even want to know how much a diesel cruise ship would cost to fill, egads.

If only stupid cruise lines would start rolling out electric boats with solar powered sails.

Does this mean you won't take the pledge for all boats to be electric by 2030?

isn’t that what you wanted? based on your posts it appears you are leftist/nevertrumper/biden supporter, remember joe saying during his campaign how he would end fracking, to usher in the green new deal? it sounds like you got what you voted for, plus no more mean tweets! a win win situation, right?

to be fair joe did retract that statement and denied that he would end fracking during the 2020 debates, but anyone with common sense knew that was bs.

swindled?

Liberal loud mouths literally getting what they voted for. And after the years of loud mouths, uninformed opinions and fake social justice from the left, now you guys are going to suffer the reality of it.

And you can continue to act like you don't care or like you are some moral authority all the way to the bottom - first financially, then in livelihood and then you are going to be hungry.

But hey - you can always keep ranting about socialism and social justice and other nonsense. All the way down.

No, they won't be the only ones suffering. We're all going to suffer.

Thing is, this clusterf*ck started a chain reaction that's going to affect us all. High gas prices will affect trucks that deliver goods, goods will become more difficult to obtain because trucks will travel less or there might be less of them on the road, necessary supplies like medications, food, etc will become tougher to get, and so on. It's a breakdown of how our society is run, and this won't affect the politicians. The reds and blues will have their own private services with gas they can afford, and they'll snicker and toast their wine glasses over the Average Joes that are now begging them for a solution to this mess. Create a problem, sit back and observe the ensuing chaos to create desperation, then offer a solution. It's their MO.

Yep. Even the mail delivery is no longer daily... packages come but regular mail has been, at least here, 3 days out of the week, maybe... of 6 days it should be getting delivered... when they cut back on delivering packages, hows that Amazon order going to arrive?

Politicians are all snakes & most of them want us suffering so the dumb ones will vote to give them MORE power...

exactly. at this rate people are gonna start hoarding gas at the pumps before it reaches $8-$10 soon, they gotta fill up all those little containers and hoard them. biden, his handlers, and anyone that voted for biden, owns this.

yesterday biden was blaming the price hike on Putin… wow joe! brilliant. nothing is xiden’s fault, it’s either Trump or Putin’s fault

https://mobile.twitter.com/theblaze/...C-4dqYyc4qAAAA

it’s not like xiden:

-Canceled new new drilling leases in the gulf
-Cancelled new drilling on federal lands
-Cancelled a current pipeline under construction
-Ended all fossil fuel subsidies
-Drained the petroleum reserve
-issued sanctions that only hurt the U.S. & western allies

NoPe, It’S pUtIn’S fAuLt

I hate to say this because I understand the spirit of what it is you are saying - just so you know that your post isn't lost on me when I say, it might be prudent to do that. Enough for at least one fillup.

The question is, what will we, the people, do about this?

I'm guessing the answer is "nothing".

People will protest for abortions and guns, they won't protest against vaccination mandates, lockdowns, gas prices/inflation, anything that actually encroaches into their lives.

I remember trying to rally people to protest with me in 2020, and they just told me to "chill out" and laughed at me. I feel so done with people. It seems most are perfectly fine with the world the way it is. As long as they can virtue signal for their political parties and scroll on their phones to stare at memes all day, they'll accept anything the government feeds them.

That’s because abortion, gun control, and “systematic racism” are leftist priorities. Since most liberals don’t work and live on government funding, they have all the time in the world to protest and riot when they don’t get their way. Gender studies, elective transgender surgeries, and student loan forgiveness is why they are so angry and protest all the time.

Conservatives don’t have time for all that, they are too busy working and they’re taxpayer dollars are being used for leftist agenda programs so that liberals don’t have to work. Yeah, it’s a huge scam. Not sure how much more people gonna put up with this radical leftist agenda, they are really pushing their limits.

Sure, keep telling yourself that, bro.

It's laughable people actually think the Conservative politicians legit care about us. Or the liberal ones for those of you who think they care. It's even more laughable you claim that "people are getting tired of the the racidal leftist agenda". Same with "go woke, go broke", as if that's actually accomplishing anything (lol, people have been saying "derp derp the left are totally losing millions, they're gonna have to change and go back to making quality media now!!!" since 2016). Keep beating that drum, and ignore the apathy and malice coming from your fellow man. Meanwhile, the politicians, media, and the celebrities get to live comfortably, and have their little get-togethers in Davos or Geneva wherein they laugh at the stupidity of those they oversee.

1987, for someone who spouts off about a 'New World Order' all the time, you sure like to believe your 'team' would never be corrupt enough to participate in something like that. You really think these Conservative politicians would take up arms, and fight against potential tyranny?

Yes, we know where you stand on politicians. For me, even if I don't believe or care that they personally do or don't care about me (and I think looking for saviors within politicians is a fallacy as you'd probably agree), it's enough that I believe they do care about very basic things of importance. The value of the nuclear family, protecting kids from indoctrination, the 2nd amendment, and securing the border, for starters. That's enough vs. the other side, who doesn't care about even one of those things and openly so.

I don’t identify as a republican, I thought I was a couple years ago during the 2020 madness, but after seeing all those republicans backstabbing Trump over the J6 setup, I realized republicans are fake puppets just like democrats. I would consider myself conservative though and right leaning. republicans like bush sr and gw bush were in on it, they are for new world order. controlled opposition. not all republicans are evil, but alot of them are, like mitt romney and liz cheney, and pence, etc, working with the corrupt dc establishment. there needs to be a third major political party called “the patriot party” for people that actually care and love their country.
