It's funny, but it really does look like my predictions that Sophie would stay on till at least issue 150 is true. Even if the Armaggedon Game is Waltz story, it's still largely going to be handled or at least co-written by Sophie. So she's not leaving the main series either way.

Bobby confessed that had they realized Mutant Town before deciding where to deposit the orphans they would have made the weasel trio and the albino turtle as well as a few others like the dart frog into the Mutant Town residents. It is mentioned somewhere within his thread.

Glad I’m not missing out this on much since I stopped reading towards the beginning of mutant town. I wonder how sales have been due to this poor arc.

There's no real way to know. We'll all say it's doing worse, then this one guy always comes in and cites these sales figures that can't be substantiated, and then someone else usually points out that that only shows retailers and not reader purchases, and then we all disagree about how much it actually sucks, then move onto something else until the next issue comes out, at which point we do the same thing all over again.

I'm not about to apologise for preferring tangible evidence over some toothless moron's hearsay.

Yeah, basically.

Speaking of which, I don't get why people care either way. Let's say that they are selling like hotcakes, and IDW is making gangbusters on the comic. Does that somehow negate it from all criticism? Does that automatically make it 'better' because it's selling and a financial success? People use these sales numbers (and this applies to TV ratings and box office numbers too) as a d*ck measuring contest to 'prove' the quality of this junk, when it doesn't really prove that at all either. It just means more gullible saps forked over their money to buy this crap, and put the money into the IDW staff's pockets.

An audience is an audience even if it's not the one you think it should be.

Wouldn't it be better to drop the woke bs and write better stories that appeal to a wider audience, that actually BUYS the books to make more money to sell more related products? Rather than staying stuck in the woke bs that has actual readers dropping off the series or only buying it to have a "complete" run? [I would think the first group would be better...]

This series continues to suck at best. Hopefully this new storyline ends the series. Then fire everyone currently working on the book and start over fresh & new.

Because it's not about telling better stories, it's about 'sending a message'. It's really not about money, they don't care. Whether the comic is selling like hotcakes or flopping like toilet cakes, they don't give a f*ck, and it won't affect the quality of their output. People have been screaming "GO WOKE, GO BROKE" for years now (since 2016, maybe a little earlier), but...it's very clear that 'going broke' doesn't matter to them. At all. In fact, I think a lot of the investors for these sort of projects are willing to throw a ton of money at them if it means, like I said already, sending out the message they want it to.

My advice for you, and everyone else, is to give up. It's not going to get better, and the damage has basically been done. I don't think it'll magically improve after the mess that was Mutant Town, and Jennika being forced as one of the TMNT. It's done. Drop it if you hate it, and move on....... Easier said than done since entertainment sucks now, but...yeah. If you already dropped it then...whatever? I guess peek in these threads, and roll your eyes at how awful the comic is now.

I want to quit it but its like a bad car wreck & I can't seem to look away as I roll passed the body parts on the side of the road next to the car parts.... lol. 40 issues back, I gave up buying the RI covers... might just quit buying the A covers to save money.

That's basically what's happening, by issue 150 they will finish the main story arc. Now what they do from issue 151 onward remains to be seen, or if Sophie is replaced, etc.

When I went by my local shop to pick up Opening Moves#1 today another customer asked the employee how the new Daredevil series started off. He stated that it was the same creative team so it's the same as it has been. It's going to be the same case with Ninja Turtles if we have the same creative team relaunch or just the next arc it will not matter. So instead of starting from scratch we need a new creative team, whether it's a relaunch or the next issue #1_ _.

I'd honestly like to see a few things from IDW.

1. A new "Universe" anthology style book. Maybe every other month shipping. Do 2 or 3 stories per issue. 1st being the bulk of the story thats from any prior universe. Movie. Comics. Toons. Whatever is pre-existing. So, a post TMNT 3 movie tale that shows how they go from Turtles in Time to the 2007 TMNT film? Cool. Take no more than five issues to tell it. Then do one or two back up short stories. But these have to be a different version of the Turtles. Say like movie, cartoon, comics. Then rotate the arcs. Make the stories unfold in a way that allows for them to be reprinted with their own storylines later, so if someone doesn't like Rise or Bay Turtles, for example (like me), I could skip that later trade version... The primary story is he 1987 cartoon with a 2007 tmnt backup (maybe do the intended sequel storyline) and the 3rd backup tale could be something random that would fit the Mirage continuity, like finish off vol 4 with Lawson & Lavigne... if they'd be willing.

Next up would be an IDW dark & gritty adult TMNT comic, without all the toon influences, no Bebop, Rocksteady or Krang & hundreds of mutants of he week popping up...

Then the Ongoing can stay woke garbage and end...

But I'm not in charge, even if I do have a few good story ideas in my head. Even a way to end the Bay-verse & create the crossover.

Also, they could then do a giant Turtles Unlimited and merge all the versions for an epic crossover. But it'll never happen.

Also, a new volume of Tales with 2 short stories. They'd take place in the established IDW Univers3 but could, like Tales used to do, take place anywhere in the timeline. Random Raph before he meets his bros story? Yeah, dude! Random one off of Casey Jones (like the 2 parter in vol 1, but shorter)... Class of Pain starts there. But they have to be written/drawn by new talent, regardless of race, color, creed and all that other self segregating garbage identifiers and it can't contradict any established stories except for maybe retconning the sea turtles thing... lol.

IDW admitted the omission of the letters page and that it will return in the back of #133. I suggest that we write in to [email protected]. The constructive criticism and overall consensus among us should be printed instead of mindless praise.

I still find it damn funny that even considering the, ahem, curated nature of the letters page, they ran out of mindless praise and had to resort to printing actual criticism from real people instead of shills after a certain point.

Well, they didn't have to resort to that. They could've easily put a lot of FAKE letters in there, and I'm sure it wouldn't have been the first comic to do so in history. So credit should be given there.
