Looks like Playmates finally had a "come to Jebus" meeting and figured some of their $#!t out. Wonder if they also got rid of that derpy dude who repped them at cons, lol. This stuff makes me excited. Haven't felt that level from PM since the very first wave of 2012 TMNT figures hit.

I wouldn't get too excited yet. The idea is there but if these images are indicative of the final product then I'd say they fumbled the execution.

But yeah, I'd agree that it's a promising step! And either way I'm still excited for the baseline figures.

stoked about the concept of classic homages, but the overly childish/goofy/borderline cracked-out artstyle and the rough execution is not doing it for me. pass on these. a slight step in the right direction after rise, but we have a ways to go still, imo. will stick to the reissues.

Space Cadet Raph is the only one that I think looks halfway decent. The other 3 just look... bad. I don't think I'll get any of these, but I also just haven't really been feeling the Mutant Mayhem designs, either.

I will say, though... seeing them using Spock Don, in this way, upsets me. Because I get the feeling this is the nail on the coffin for BOTH Playmates re-releasing the classic Star Trek Turtles, as well as Super7 making Ultimates of them (which could have been a possibility with Super7 having the license for both TMNT and Star Trek).

I think I lost interest in this line.

I might get Beach Combin' Mike because he looks psychotic (and, he's my favorite turtle...the Turflytle was the only figure I picked up from the Nickelodeon CGI show).

I'm still excited but I do wish the turtles weren't so freaking bright. When they initially leaked I was hoping the neon green was a bit of a prototype thing but now that we're seeing packaging shots I guess that hope is dead. Maybe they'll look better in person but these might turn into a pass from me after all.

These don't look bad at all, but I'll forever be a broken record when it comes to not liking full durag Raphael regardless of its lineage in the Mirage comics.

Just bought a Ninja Shouts Michelangelo figure for my son on Ebay and the new backpack from Five Below. He's 5 and has been practically begging for these toys since he saw the trailer. I'm going to put the figure in the backpack as a surprise! Despite my own hesitations, I'm very excited for his first major turtle experience! At the least, it's going to be fun for him and that's what matters to me. (By the way, his name is Angelo )

Those battle packs are pretty cool - that is honestly how Playmates should sell TMNT figures at this point. They are never going to be high quality so just go for some decent articulation and value.

That's great! Five years old is a great time to become a Turtles fan. Enjoying his toys in use and running around the house karate fighting invisible ninjas. I think it's awesome, man!

Those battle packs are definitely where it's at.

Thanks man! Yea, and it's also cool to see because to him the "old turtles" are my 2003 turtles The 80's turtles are like The Flintstones to him. So this Mutant Mayhem line coming out is sweet to us because he finally has his version of the turtles.

I still think they look pretty fun. The paint on Rocksteady's horns is pretty terrible though, and while I don't have a problem with the design necessarily that head/neck certainly makes for a pretty impossible action figure.

Happy to see that the turtles look less neon in these photos.

I'll reserve full judgement until I see them in store and can get a better look at them
