Funny how the big selling point of the Best of Mondo one-shot is the first-ever reprint of the second issue of the Archie Merdude mini.

Metalhead is back, will he have any residual memory of Krang in his body? Feels like the main series is still isolated stories whereas the whole main plot is happening in the Mutant Nation series written by Tom Waltz.

Jason Aaron's first arc being a series of one shots makes it feel like it's taking forever for the new series to start. Meanwhile Mutant Nation and Nightwatcher are the same old Tom Waltz and pre-Sophie type stories.

Glad to see they remembered Metalhead asking Bishop about Area 51. And yeah the Archie trades better reprint all those miniseries

Remind me of how messy the plot of The Armageddon Game is.

To be fair, that's not totally on Waltz. He had to work within the burning ruins of the story that Campbell had set up for the last 3 years or so. I imagine it would have played out differently had he never left the main book.

You are a fool, Casey. Do you really believe that become a advisor will have any influence on Karai's actions?

I dunno, Null was introduced back in 2016 and they barely did anything with her for the 6+ years she was around. She didn't even appear in the main series outside the mini-series for a very long time. The Turtles also already briefly trained with magic stuff even before Sophie's run and got put on the backburner, remember when Leo visited the Astral plane in TMNT Universe #25 with that tanooki character that never appeared again?

Also he left Rat King and the Patheon doing the same thing over and over again leading up to issue 100. The Patheon needed to be wrapped up long ago, and even though I don't think they're truly gone now either, at least they're "off the table" for now so we don't have to think about them. Rat King just scheming and laughing over and over again from the sidelines got old a long time prior.

I honestly wonder who is buying those "Best of" collections. All the issues in there are mostly redundant since they're in the other collections, and of course since they're randomly collecting issues from different series you only have like 1 piece of a story there. Like those trades have no real reason to exist.
