I'll buy Super7's G.I. Joe Ultimates at 15 to 23 dollars a pop. That's appropriate.

Hmm, one of those alternate April heads looks a lot like Fred Wolf style April. Might look cool but seems to be a missed opportunity to really showcase expressions of 4Kids April, if that is indeed the case.

Totally feel you on this. Not TMNT, but when Jada showed Guts Man and Bomb Man, I was so relieved to have the first game "complete," even though I question whether or not they have the momentum to finish out 2 and 3 (and hopefully 4).

Veebs did another interview with Brian - no specific TMNT news.

One thing Brian did mention is how they are moving some Ultimates away from the preorder model and to an in-stock model.

He also talked about the realities of any line facing diminishing returns, sales drop as lines continue and even if people play catchup, that usually isn't enough to maintain it.

But given how quiet everything has been with the line, I really think the Playmates-inspired aspect is over.

Unless we get "lucky"with a quick repaint or two. But that would probably just mean a glow-in-the-dark Triceraton at this point.

Realistically, if they just stopped putting Mega Man in every wave, we'd only need waves 6 and 7 to finish it out. Though I suspect the tooling could be problematic. Heat Man and Air Man can't realistically reuse the same bucks, so I could see them avoiding that.

Shame about the Playmates thing with TMNT, though. I would have liked Traag.

Well this is unexpected - I finally was able to add the Pizza Party Wagon to my collection. And I managed to get it below the original price from Super7!

I am not up to date with the interviews or the backstage buzz, but what exactly is going on with the Super7 toy line? They did show some silhouettes for the 200K series wave 14 (April, Hun and Motorcycle Raph.

But, the SDCC and NYCC hasn't really given any indications about the future of the line. Same goes for Thundercats, as they briefly showed King Lion-O, Red Eye and Wizz-Ra.

Oddly enough, they are continuing the Silverhawks line which is the only one from the 3 properties I have mentioned that have concrete pre-orders.

Have they leaked any insider info during NYCC and beyond?

No news, but the same thing happened with 2k3 wave 2. It got teased at SDCC'24 and didn't go up until 2/28/2025.

One shift is them moving away from open preorders to "pre-sale":

Quote:
A Pre-sale is an early release of figures whose production is completed and are on their way to us. They will be shipped to you immediately upon their arrival. Unless specified otherwise, all items in your order will be shipped once your Pre-sale items are in-stock.
SilverHawks Wave 7 uses this new language https://super7.com/products/silverha...ia-condor-toon

No clue if TMNT is going to follow suit, but this might mean longer waits for announcements, but shorter windows for fulfillment as figures are going up for presale when they're on the water.

Between various discounts and coupons, the four 2003 turtles are about $38 a piece (on average) on Amazon if you get all 4. Very close to pulling the trigger.

Honestly ... in a few months, I wouldn't be surprised if these start to hit $19-25.

Something about them just doesn’t look premium to me. Maybe it’s the way they photograph idk. Hoping Neca attempts 2K3.

They photograph weirdly flat - even though they have shading/wash, but it ends up just looking like shadows under lights because of how subtle it is.

The shells are still crazy. Sure, they're accurate but they're so wide.

I think part of it is the simple design of the 2k3 turtles. Wave 2 looks incredible, especially Shredder and Splinter.

I think they look “premium” enough, I just can’t justify that $55+ price tag.

I’m also hesitant to jump into this line when the future is uncertain. Wave 3 was already underwhelming, I’m probably only interested in April.

Hopefully wave 4 is Karai, Bishop, Stockman and Utrom. No variant turtles please!

You’re on to something lol. Leo is barely $20 with coupons right now!

Now that I own 3/4 of wave 1, I see what you mean. I personally think these should have a MSRP of about $30, give or take.

I’ll definitely get Don eventually, but he’s still $44 on Amazon. Too high for me. It’s insane that people pay north of $55 for these.
