I’m going to move it to there. I don’t mind my list having some slight variations from the official IDW order (the 2012 Annual and Mutanimals miniseries, off the top of my head), but if I can’t remember my reasoning I think it’s dumb to deviate.

Just realized I’m missing Mutant Nation 7-9. Anyone know where to place them?
Any comments on where I put everything between #12 and #13? |

Awesome, thank you. Sorry I missed that.
Ok it’s all updated. I did go ahead and move Volume 2 #5 to be before Nightwatcher #4, since #5 is the story of how Hale came to be elected and in NW #4 he’s already the DA. EDIT: Moved the back end of Nightwatcher after #7, since Nightwatcher takes place over the course of a few weeks and there isn't a break in the narrative until after TMNT #7. You might have a few days in between #5 and #6, but that's pushing it, then #7 is the next day. There's clearly some time passed when #8 starts. Thoughts? Also moved Annual 2020 before #101. The annual is 1 month after #100, and #101 is 6 months later. I think that’s how I had I originally and changed it because you did, hypered. Is that how the Ultimate Collections have it?

One more thing: at the end of Nightwatcher #3, Jennika sends that lizard girl away on a boat to North Brother Island. One problem being Lindsey killed everyone there except Hob in Alpha. The Mutanimals all show up at the end, but it’s not clear if they stay there or leave.
I guess we might have to wait and see if she pops back up, but is it possible that Alpha happened after NW #3? |

To be fair as you said we haven't seen Hob and co since Alpha so there's still some wiggle room.

So the official IDW list has #101 before the 2020 annual. This is one of those instances of reading order vs. chronological order.
To me, the Annual being first makes more sense either way. That does spoil Saki hiding in the woods, but 101 flows directly into 102. Feels like a clunky break in the narrative to wedge the annual in between them. Good point. I’ll make a mental note to revisit this when the Mutanimals appear next. Maybe they’ll have that Lizard girl with them. |

Thanks to Nines and hypered for keeping this up-to-date, I just caught up on the whole run of the second volume of the IDW comics thanks to y’all
Honestly, kind of a mixed bag I did not like most of the stuff with Hale. I did not enjoy any of the “Donnie has time madness and the brothers are separated, again” arc. There was some good stuff in the Mutant Nation series though and the stuff with Splinter and Shinigami has been interesting. I had picked up the Battle Nexus series as it came out and that’s what made me want to get caught up on the main series again. I kept expecting to get to a point in the main ongoing that the Battle Nexus event stemmed from, but it seems perfectly self-contained so far. Guess I will check out the Shredder and Casey Jones series now |

The side books, starting with Untold Destiny, have mostly been quite good.
The Jason Aaron run was ATROCIOUS, but blessed with beautiful art. Yang has certainly turned things around, even though they’re going a little crazy with resurrecting dead characters lately. I haven’t really enjoyed Casey Jones or Shredder yet, but they’re not done. |

I like both so far, but the Shredder series is streets ahead of any other TMNT stuff going on right now to me. I’m curious to see where the Casey series goes too, though
I like that we got Freddie Williams II on the main series finally, too. This was his first time doing art in the main book, right? |

Yes, he's done a ton of crossovers, covers, and other random stuff. But this is his first time on the ongoing.
I wonder what DC/Marvel bigwigs they'll bring in for #25 onward. |

I know people are more interested in the reading order than the passing years, but I’m currently stumped on how to proceed with the ongoing.
The epilogue of #150 was late December. We catch up with the characters 6 months later in the new #1. Figure roughly 2-3 months or so pass to get to #12. The Casey Jones mini then takes place and there’s a heat wave going on in #1, so obviously late Summer. Roughly 2 months pass to bring us to #13, which gives an early November placement. So far so good. The Ujigami arc happens and not a lot of time seems to pass, but #19 reveals the Festival of Obon is coming up and “The Hunger”/#20 will take place during the Hungry Ghost Festival. Both of these festivals always take place in either August or September. Basically I need to decide if 9 months passed between #13 and #19, or if I should assume Obon and the Hungry Ghost Festival don’t take place on their real world dates in the IDWverse and we’re still in November. Alternatively, has Hale been locked up for 3 months or 1 whole year? |

I’ve definitely been wondering about the chronology too, even though I’ve o my been keeping up with the main series in spurts.
Don’t have any input, but I’ll check back here at some point lol |

I think I have it figured out, thanks the Shredder series.
Basically Shredder #9 is roughly 1 year after Untold Destiny, which I have as being mid-2020. This, in turn, means The City That Never Dies is only about a year later. So the Yang run will take up November-December 2021, leading to the Holiday Special, and #25 will be a new year. |
