New reissue figures found

For all those 80s TMNT toy fans, the TURTLE TROOPER with the ‘91 and ‘92 turtles are at southern Targets now. The Turtle Tank as well.

As I mentioned I got the 4 pack of the reissue of the original 4 toys. I'm not a nostalgia collector buying old figures but I thought it might be the last chance to ever buy them "new" with Mattel taking over the license.

I mean opening them did give me that nostalgia rush and the memories came in, on the other hand I don't think they're great figures for me to play around with on my desk. For the true connoisseurs, how accurate are they? The paint obviously seems different, donatello looks darker, and raph/mikey seem off, only Leo feels true to his colors but I'm going off of memory of when I was a kid. The figures also seem a bit fragile, like I'm pretty sure these ones would not have survived all the abuse my kid self gave the original figures. Their hand grips seem more open than the original turtles as well. But that's just what I think, I obviously don't have the original turtles to compare them against.

I have to say, my excitement is down a notch since they’re not on cards like all the other reissues. What a bummer. But since I only ever had the army Leo, I felt compelled to get them.

I would have sold the Turtle Trooper separately.

Yeah the Retro Military Tank and 4 Pack of Military Turtles have hit the Milwaukee Area today. I searched 4 Targets, 2 of them had nothing yet (Wauwatosa and West Allis) and Menomonee Falls had the 4 Pack and Franklin had the Military Tank. I grabbed one of each.

I found them at a midwestern Target as well. I grabbed the Sewer Heroes pack (49.99) and the Turtle Tank (42.99).

There were a couple of Target deals going on yesterday where if you spent over $100 you get a $20 credit for next purchase, and if you spent over $60 storewide you got an immediate $5 off. Was able to stack both of those by grabbing just enough other stuff to put me over $100 pre-payment.

The Turtle Tank box was very banged up and there was only one, but I didn't want to sleep on those promos so I got it and will do the old switcheroo if/when I see a minty one somewhere.

I noticed the new tank takes 2 AA batteries, while the original takes 2 C batteries.
Does it do all the same stuff? Are batteries just better now?

Good question. If it still works the same, the answer would not be that batteries are better now but that electronics have improved to require less power.
